So I've been working on a DC-15A blaster rifle from Star Wars and i would like to make it workable within Space Engineers, is there any way to get it in?

ps. I already tried using the base games gun .xml file and used the MwmBuilder to make it into a .mwm file but it just ended up re-downloading the original gun :(

I don't know if this is possible but I'm gonna go ahead and bump this because it would be cool to see some other gun models in-game :thumb:.

This would be super awesome, I would love to have some more weapons and some damn lasers, we're in space, where the hell are all the lasers

If you want to make it yourself. This is what you'll probably want to do...

Locate the machine gun model within the backup zip in the tools directory of Space Engineers. Open up the FBX in whatever 3D modelling program you use. Check for 'empties', these could signify where the bullets come, where the hand goes, etc.

After you find that stuff, put it on your model as necessary.

Export the FBX to the tools directory, build up a XML that is pertinent to your new rifle. Use the machinegun xml as an example.

Put the newly generate MWM in the content/models/weapons directory

go to the content/data directory and locate handitems.sbc

Find the machine gun, create a duplicate entry above or below it (somewhere you'll find it, but within the required tags)

Change the stuff that you need to change (most likely just the model name/in-game name/whatever else).

Safe it up and launch the game and see where you're at.

If you crash, check out the log

If you don't crash, get into the game and see if you can wield your weapon
