Hi all, this is my first post here. Here is my latest project, a new Frigate from Halo. I have gone back to the more familiar layout of the Paris class frigate, with it's 'forked' forward hull in between two lateral launch bays. This is unlike the latest canon frigates which are much more blocky, and essentially compose of a single, thick rectangular hull.

    The specs are as follows:

    Dimensions:
    • Length: 945 meters
    • Width: 305 meters
    • Depth: 223 meters
    Armament:
    • Mark V, heavy coil - 99B6G6/MAC [2]
    • M49 Archer missile delivery system [2]
    • M870 Rampart 50mm point-defense network [1]
    • M4098 Hyperion nuclear delivery system (6x) [1]
    Engine unit(s):
    • XR2 Borlin Fields: S81/X-DFR
    Slipspace Drive:
    • Mark XI Macedon/Z-PROTOTYPE #82372HDS
    Shielding:
    • Advanced energy shielding
    Hull:
    • Titanium-A3 armor battle-plate with ablative armor coating
    <div class="metafield display-field" id="description">Sensor systems:
    • Radar
    • Spectroscopes
    • LIDAR
Launched in 2559, the UNSC Triton was the first prototype of a new line of frigates. Using the latest integrated Forerunner and Covenant technology, the Triton was the most powerful UNSC frigate ever built at that time.

Notably, these vessels were equipped with ablative armor and energy shields - a significant development over prior UNSC vessels which had to rely on only their Titanium-A battleplating for protection. A single vessel of this type was easily able to engage and defeat a Covenant Corvette.

    Other vessels later launched included:
    UNSC Eleventh Hour
    UNSC Devil's Own
    UNSC Spark Of Defiance
    UNSC Foehammer
    UNSC Stolen Thunder
    UNSC Futamura
    UNSC Bad Wolf
    UNSC Great Escape

I see two of the ships of its class are Doctor Who references, Eleventh Hour (first Matt Smith episode) and Bad Wolf (aka Rose Tyler after looking into the heart of the TARDIS) Though your information is wrong, the Strident-class heavy frigate (Halo 4 frigates, the Infinity carries 10 of them) is shielded, the oly reason why a UNSC vessel would employ that kind of design would be if they a incorporated modular separation system, like many covenant vessels and all flood era forerunner ships, the idea being to amputate infected sections of a ship, or for the covenant, easy construction, and as a means to potentially escape from Spartan boarders.

And the Vindication class light battle ship is not as blocky as other UNSC vessels

Good call on the Doctor Who names I used. I thought they sounded kinda cool. And yes you're absolutely right about the Strident class frigates having energy shields. My comment was meant to refer to older models like the Paris class, but I should have made that clearer.

ahh so basically the ships used (and many intentionally sacrificed) at the Battle of Psi Serpentis "Admiral Cole's Last Stand" which Cole likely actually survived, achieving a cumulative kill count of over 300 covenant ships in that battle...

Better off with a Shivan Anti-fighter Beam cannon array.

Insurrectionists don't just steal military hardware and make some very little of their own, they heavily modify and upgrade what they commandeer, to the point where a frigate comandeered by the Insurrectionists can bring a UNSC destroyer that is much newer, to a draw, in the engagement I am referring to, the UNSC captain would become the UNSC's fleet commanding equivalent of Vel Vadaam, where the chief is the UNSC's ground force equivalent of the same Arbiter, Broadswords used by insurrectionists, it stands to reason, would be much more effective than their standard issue UNSC counter parts.

I'm confused: Is this frigate leaked material from 343 or is it fan art?

    Lovely model, nicely put together.

I just wonder how this belongs into the SPACE ENGINEERS community creations forum? It has nothing to do with the game apart from being space related...

Thanks! Well, some other poster did a great model of one of my previous designs, the UNSC Nevada, ( https://forums.keenswh.com/post/unsc-mini-6776128?trail=285 ) so I thought I'd show off my latest frigate model here in the hope of inspiring someone to build a block version of it.
