Update 01.008 - Minor additions to previous update

    We have made some minor additions to yesterday’s update:

    Feature
    • Beacons can now be named
    Fixes
    • fixed crash when setting controls
    • fixed crash when using ladder
    • fixed ladder movement
    • fixed asteroid rendering issue
    • fixed start-up crash after removing second display
    • fixed character on ladder with drill

    (Don't know how much work it is, but how about creating sub-folders so you can sort different ship systems easily in a future patch?)

    the damages of ship/station parts when I touch them by drill without LMB click, is it normal?

    Implement some kind of rock vacuum machine, kind of a pain to pick up those small devil shaped rocks :p

    Hope you guys can get the conveyors to work next. and fix the smaller cargo holds for small ships.
    its kind of annoying when you have a ship with multiple drills and you have to empty out each individual drill.
    I'd rather put a core of conveyors in the of the ship and have it feed from the drills into a cargo container at the back of the ship.

    you can build a large cup with a large ship and put a gravity generator in. the rocks are actually effected by gravity and they do roll down sloped surfaces.
    With that you at least won't have to go and chase all the small rocks. they'd line up in the bottom of your cup. still an auto collector/vacuum machine would be nice.

    Did any one else feel like the new update changed movement speed and maneuverability? I found myself unable to control my character and ships at times...maybe lack of gyroscopes or power I don't know...

    Not FPS lagg, it'll go away later on with optimisation or when you clear some debris from the game ;)

    for asteroid mining, I built a large ship with a gravity gen, and basically create a seal on the flattest side of the rock I can find, then I take my tunneler small ship, and just dig into the asteroid, and try to clean it out from the inside.. main benifit is it catches all the little rocks.. and with the sloped surfaces like someone else mentioned, all of them are in one place. when things slow down, I 'land' my mining ship inside the roid, jetpack to the 'cup' and collect all the rocks.. then go back to mining.

    when the rock is mostly hollow, you might have to get a rotating gravity generator going to cause the rocks to circle down through the hold, kinda like a drain.

    another trick is to have a large ship with a really big surface and a single layer of 'ledge' and leave the small ship latched to that layer, and just drag your gravity field around with you.

    The update appears to have had a strange effect on my computer, when I start the game an alert pops up telling me that my graphics card is below recommended specs, but I havn't changed my graphics card from before the update, Im not quite sure what this is about, if it was a new feature and my graphics card is really actually below what is needed, Im not quite sure about graphics card rankings, but I have a radeon HD 7870 card, so if someone could tell me if that is below what is recommended, thanks!

    Rename-able beacons is a bit useless if you can't backspace or delete. :p Also, you forgot a number on the update title. This update came after 1.008.004 so that'd make this one at least 1.008.005. :p

    Bin trying it all day it lags like crazy and u need A LOT of thrusters to stay on a straight line .P
