The witches in the woods are telling the story of a forthcoming disaster, maybe our time as immortals is over and we have to face death and the struggle to survive ;)

    Yeah, F5ing for life. :woot:

What I'd really like to see is "bigger" stuff... Wider (not longer) wooden beams, with higher "break tolerance". And "big catch blocks" to go with them.

It's pretty hard to make a humongous trebuchet, when the limiting factor is the wood beam and catch block structural resistance. Maybe a 3x3 or 4x4 beam would do the trick. (The thicker, the more resistant)

Yes, I've tried to "bundle" wooden beams toguether. They break individually, at the very same force. And the connection point to the catch block it still a 1x1 beam...

Maybe some metal beams and catch blocks... (Although rare in structural desing in Medieval times, they existed)... And hey... Blacksmithing/forging FTW! :D Some Iron reinforcement bands for the wooden beams would be GREAT, but I believe the coding would be... Devilish. :woot: Perhaps a stock "iron reinforced beam" block? With the metal bands already IN them when placed?

And regarding the "wider beams".. Perhaps on the long run, for survival, we could have different sized trees. A small tree can make a small wooden beam. A large tree can make a large wooden beam, or 4 (maybe 9) small beams.

And if following the same pattern as the already existing beams... A ROUND wide beam would be awesome for wooden transmission/gears...

    Well...
    tl;dr

I want wider (3x3 or even 4x4) wood beams (and matching catchblocks)!
    Or iron beams!
    Or reinforced beams!
Stuff that costs more, but breaks less! :woot:

My mighty Hammer of F5 wants it's sibbling for ingame purposes.
Maybe not for construction for now but for destruction - MuHaHa!

I'm sick of saluting to ropes and catch blocks all the time. Give me a hammer so I can fight against this bewitched junk! ;)

Thank you on the info, sir!

    And regarding the Physics Inquisition...

May the derivative of momentum be equal to your normal times the friction coefficient of your path, so that you can keep pressing forward!

The phenomenon has been seen in this section since last week. Bring on the f5 ballista's, trebuchets and catapults! May the enemy walls tremble beneath our f5'ing power!

I'm afraid to tell you that our carts with fresh F5's were attacked and partially destroyed by some prowling Barbarians as some irresponsible engineer put a King's Statue on one of them.
We've begun repairs and are brushing the remains of the carts of the street, alongside with those of the unlucky engineer!

If we had more humble engineers, we'd get those repairs done much faster!

For sure is our success but to what price?
To many F5's have fallen in vain and my mighty Hammer of F5 wears off quickly.
