So, I was patrolling the mars moon (Keen NA #4 server), on rumors of some stranded mars moon babes needing help over there..

That was all a myth, apparently. But I found something.. interesting:

    hmmm thats.. odd.

    and.. spirally.

and at the end of some sort of fault/crack in the crust (going up/left in this image)

[tinfoil hat] some may say its just an artifact of voxel procedural mumbo jumbo.. BUT I KNOW THE TRUTH!!

.. but what do YOU think?

    data: 45m tall
    GPS:Europa ice spike:921895.46:10866.22:1610868.81:

Don't be silly. There's no such thing as space unicorns.

    That's a space narwhal.

    That's certainly the most plausible.

It's clearly an ice spike, a well-known though rare natural formation.

Someone had fun with Voxel hands maybe?
Unicorns did pop into mind right off the bat. :)

I am not sure how Keen are doing planet files now days, but if I had to give it a serious guess, I would say it was just a glitch in the height map used. (One little spot that the game rendered as being a hill.) That would also explain the line/ fault line you see. The edges of the map meeting.

Just my theory. Sounded better than my earlier post of Unicorns! :p

Ooh even grosser: Europas' frozen pimple pop

but to be certain it wasnt the hands of some official keen server mythical admin using voxel hands with some degree of skill... I'm going to start a sp system map and checking out those gps coords in OP (those are pasteable in game format)\

Yep. its official "Cannon" .. apparently at the union of 3 faults seen here- so also in every single one of your system worlds, too. I dub this "Clang's Icepick" as its first discoverer. [cool sunglasses emote]

The Spiral of Lord Clang is what I think Tolkien would have went with. :)

Since Clang's Icepick is in every system world generated, I feel compelled to start a Thing.

As tribute to Clang, impale your current multiplayer baseship upon Clangs Icepick and submit screenshot, showing your worthiness to exist in his universe. (in a separate single player world, of course)

    a (bad) example

maybe after work ill try again with just a liiiitle less momentum- and def have voxel deform off. But indeed, the IcePick is mightier than the Skully (that was clean through 4 refineries, 2 jump drives, and the kitchen sink hidden in the roof)

I think it's probably a pile of Wampa poo after eating a bad Taun Taun.
