So, here is my version of a farm =) I personally don't like to use nonrenewable resources in nonrenewable way (pickaxes are renewable for example), that's why there are a single harvester, plow and seeder and not multiples, as in many many farms I have seen.

I'm thinking to change it a bit, put a wheel on a side and make it flexible, so it would look more realistic. Also I don't like, that have to manually move this thingy

Ok, so here goes nothing as they say... When I first purchased the game back on 18.02.2018 I watched a few youtube videos from radioman03 to get a few pointers I started here in Dariosy Raj with the spires this is version 0.6.2:-

(click on any image to get the full-size version)

and got to work ... I built a home base area:-

and started working through some quests to get my skills up, and then decide to start to construct my first bridge using vast amounts of timber and sticks to get up high enough:-

I made it just ... and started building:-

This took a while ... as you can imagine:-

    and a while longer

And I came up with this:-

I then thought it would be a good idea to create some kind of warehouse to move the contents of my home base to, but got a bit carried away as you may see

I was just thinking what to do next, built a few more towers and bridges as well as a stone mine about 22 blocks below the arched pathway in front of the drawbridge and ...

    then 0.6.3 came along ....

    To be continued ...

I think part of it is to do with the fish-eye effect that the player sees, everything is firmly anchored in at both ends and is all square I am sure I have seen some real - life examples of this but can't remember where, history was never my strong subject at school, many... many ... many years ago :) I do remember the staggered arch approach and tried this on one of my other bridges, which did not work, so I went for stacked arches and that seemed ok:-

A new version of the farm. Now it is kind of realistic, though plow still doesn't touch the ground. Also, after couple of hours of different trials and an hour of final implementation, I was able to put 2 rope drums, so now harvester-seeding unit can be moved with a crank.

Also I wanted to add a possibility to rotate this thing indirectly, but torque required is really high. So, now waiting for engines update =)

What a great idea, I did see a video on youtube where someone built a smaller version of this seeding idea using a windmill to rotate the whole thing, not sure if it's genuine or not, or even possible

Since development is pretty much on hold right now (for the next few months/years/decades), why not try out things that can currently be built without any mods? (Also, I wanted to revive this thread after over one year)
I'm working on some sort of open air museum with several types of buildings, from somewhat before the Middle Ages to sometime after.
Today, I built this nordic stave church.
I'm surprised it actually went pretty well. Okay, I had to deal with some crumbling pillars, and the roofs are still buggy, but in the end, it kind of worked out.

Wow, this looks really awesome! And not only that, it also looks very functional!
Although that one palm tree seems a bit out of place...

These are all really neat! I haven't really built anything big or impressive, but I am planning on building a medieval manor with a friend

The keep is actually small. Base is only 4x4 blocks.

I am absolutely certain Thales thought of such things like how to get to the top...

When I look at such castle, I wish there would be an importer tool for adding our creations into Mount & Blade so masses of bots fight over it, and you the player in the middle of it.

To be honest, an importer tool is more likely to happen than proper enemy AI in ME.

Sadly, at the present time and in deep-frozen development, we can assume the same for anything in the close future. All spots are on Space Engineers now. Not that I don't wish SE success, but it has such bad taste in the mouth that it seem to happen at the expense of ME development. :(

I got ME just to support Keen years ago, and have actually found myself slowly falling in love with the game on the forums, got it re-installing now. Hope that "deep-frozen development" stuff, isn't true.

You may use any other wording for it. Or do you see anything else happening here, with the exception of KEEN PR guy posting workshop creations and mods on facebook from time to time? Don't forget to check the Steam reviews, while you are at it.
And... I have been a "fan boi" for longer time than you, don't even think I deliberately lie here when I express my deep concerns about the situation. I must have a goddam reason.

There was a point and time when both games were being worked on that SE was barely getting attention. Forums at the time were all buzzing about SE being abandoned. If I am correct it was around the time all SE was getting was scenarios etc..... Hang in there I am sure ME will be back in the near future.

Oh great times, when both forums here SE and ME were "buzzing" from frequentation by fans and also ragers. I am still scratching my head how something as good for KEENs products as their buzzing forum could be left for good and detoriate in community use like it is now. Of course SE forum less so, but still we are most of the time between ourselves there. I mean, forum liveliness is an indicator for a game being popular and gives a sale incentive when well maintained. Who would buy a copy of ME now after having had a look into our forum here (or even the support forum Ibis told about where he did tests if anyone read there at all) and seen there are weeks and months between posts? No good for public perception.
But there is worse. I know games which even don't have any forum except on Steam, or some discord channel.

Mojomann, I try to keep my hopes together too. We should really get a medal or a free DLC one day... :)

I don't agree with this, especially for an Early Access game. A lot of forum "liveliness" depends on who frequents the forum. For instance, if the only thing different with ME was that you could count on Marek Rosa Himself responding to your posts, this would be the liveliest forum on the planet even though there hasn't been an update in months. On the other hand, SE seems to be doing well and no one is in the forums now.

You go to developer forums in the hopes that you might get the ear of the developer. Steam forums are for tearing down games. The only thing that matters about the game itself is whether or not you can have fun playing it. If you can, you play it. If you can't, you don't. Thing about Steam games is that they can tell at any given moment how many people are actually playing, and they can give that number to the developer. My guess is that the number for ME dropped below a threshold and possibly the number for SE exceeded a threshold and Keen put their resources where the money is. That, and SE is clearly closer to completion than ME.

You are understandably upset, but forum activity does not appear to have any impact on development speed. Direction, perhaps, but not speed.
