Ahh yesssss - and news coming up for the hungry Medieval Engineers community, I read in addition on FaceBook.
You don't want to detail what you will do in Keen Software House in the future, Blitzzz333? Test Clang-Cola, for example?

I took one look at this picture and I could clearly see that no one told this guy who he's dealing with.

Welcome to SE comrade, hopefully you have improved hearing over the last guy. The players of this game after 6 years would like to see some PVP content added to their game. Perhaps you could pass that message along to the devs.

@Bullet_Force after 6 years of not getting a PVP game maybe you would get the idea you are not going to get one? Just saying.......

I get that people want more PVP stuff, but you gotta keep in mind that each persons answer to what the game "needs" is different and Keen can't implement a "solution" that satisfies the particular desires of a single or small group of players. Anything they do will impact literally everyone in the game. Doing it in a way that makes the majority of the community happy is going to be difficult, but doing it wrong will be very very easy. Combat in SE is not the kind of thing that can be casually changed or upgraded. There are so many landmines that Keen will have to sidestep in order to do it successfully. I don't blame them for not jumping in to it.

Welcome to the community Erin. While there's a few folks here that can be kind of curmudgeonly, I assure you there's lots of lovely people here....said the spider to fly....

    Kidding! Welcome!

I know it is not a very creative answer and has been said before, but for people who want to fight all the time, there are splendid mods galore to harvest ... which turns SE into that space shooter they want to add to their collection of... hmm... space shooters.

This is the true beauty of SE that some people just don't get. The thing about SE is that it can become whatever game you want with the right set of mods, and yet somehow still be SE. Star Trek, Star Wars and Halo are all SE games now. There are others I can't think of off hand. There are very few of us that play a game that can only be described as Space Engineers (and I still need a ton of mods to do it ;)).

No one denies that the vanilla game could use some PVP love. It needs to be clear, though, that Keen shouldn't go overboard and try to make a PVP game. That would alienate everyone else that plays. There are some that would like to see all weapons removed from vanilla and only available as mods. What do you think THAT would do for the game? Personally, I'm against that. Am I selfish?

I believe the vanilla game should be just that: plain. I like to use the term "standard" instead of vanilla, but both work for me. Whatever way you play, the standard game should leave you yearning for more, and that's where Modders come in. If nothing else, they provide the inspiration/motivation/demonstration for things we want to end up in the standard game. Intentional or not, it's a formula that seems to be working.

If you are a PVP fan but your PVP friends gave up on the game, the sad truth is that whatever was lacking would probably never be a standard feature of SE. Whatever it was is probably available as a mod, or can be. If that's not enough then the friends have probably made the best decision for them, which is to stop waiting for something that is not likely.

    Did Erin Truitt become Blitzzz333?

No, I think he is active under the name Kienata (that is my guess). I have seen a KEEN staff member writing under that name on Steam discussion, namely in "Update 1.193.1 – Happy Holidays!" topic. For the transition period they both seem active in community management, until Erin Truitt will be riding Rodeo full speed.
By the way, Jesse Baule /Blitzzz333 is featured as author of the Space Engineers Comic we got as download.

yes but mods make the game even more unstable, causing hang, crashes, & lag spikes galore!

Not only that but all mods are based off some base game element. For instance all weapon mods are based off either the stock gatling gun or the stock rocket launcher. The problem is because the base code for these weapons is quite inflexible and lacks features, what weapons you can create via a mod is very limited. This is why its important the devs actually add new stock weapons and features it will have a flow on effect with modding.
