Midway Scout Class Frigate.

This is a small large grid survival ready ship based on the design of the Encounter Shuttle.

This is the latest version, it is fully atmospheric capable and has been tested on the alien planet (1.1g).

I tested the emergency parachutes by setting the ship on a ballistic course and turning off the engines.
It landed at 6-7m/s, some small damage to the langing gear and lower rear thruster, but better than leaving a hole in the ground.

A word of warning, planets with an atmosphere are a little tricky to fly in as directional thrust is ion based, so be careful when landing.

As an added bonus I automated the airlocks, approach the second door and the first will close behind you, just don't rush it.
