[0.5.1][DS] old Map don't load

    My dedicated Server does not load my old 0.4.20 Map. The following Message can i found in the logs:

    A lot of mods need some definition changes. Some examples are handitems -> legacyHanditems.
    I fixed several of them in my mods but right now I cant upload any changes because of a bug.

    If you have a heavily modded world I suggest waiting a few days, if not try removing mods until it works I guess. But not having certain mods can give you a corrupted message

    I can see this one from the first post. It crashes on MyObjectBuilder_MedievalDoor. This was removed in 0.4 and we removed the backwards compatibility in 0.5. My guess is that you are using an old mod that still has this type. You may try removing the mod and loading the world. Either the blocks will disappear because they won't load or the world will be reported as corrupt (it's not really corrupt in this case, it just has things the game can't handle in it). If you can't get it going we can give some recommendations of how to get it loading again.

    After the update from today, the unchanged backup from 0.4.20 loads with no errors except:

    How can i get the world to load on my dedicated server? i have no problems to edit the xml files, if you can say me what to remove or change.

    That could work. We're having a lot of DS problems today. Some of the changes didn't make it into the DS build and we're trying to sort it out. If you can load it in the client and save it, that should probably work. Just keep a backup around in case it doesn't.

    I had loaded my previous server save on a local client last night and again this evening to save it in the new updated format so that the server can run it, which works without errors. However the one problem that I have found is that the world sees you logging in as a new character rather than your previously played character, even though there are no name/client changes apart from the update. Is this something that has cropped up on other server saves?

    It should be working but if you already saved in 0.5 you have a new character. When you load in it will use the new one and not the old one. We recommend using a backup from before the update if you have it.

    Should this be working on single player now as well? I just tried it and have a new character still, but want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. When I load the game, it's still showing the old version number for that save on the load screen.

    Hey guys, I'm having the same problem as reported above by Armandir regarding the 0.4.20 save being reported newer by 0.5.1 ([0.5.1][DS] old Map don't load). Your response was that loading the DS save into single player could work. I've been told in the past by Kejn (on the Steam forums) this is generally a bad idea. Anyway, I tried it with my 0.4.20 backup and it did exactly as described above also (new character but pretty much worked going back into DS).

    My question is this: is this something we should do to prepare for Tuesday's update so we don't let our saves fall behind, keeping up with the 0.5.1 trunk or should we wait to load our 0.4.20 on the update this coming Tuesday (skipping over 0.5.1, updating instead to 0.5.2)? What's the best way to handle this? Just trying not to lose any data or get something corrupted.

    Thank you, Captain!! The update you pushed out yesterday fixed my DS starting error! Way to go!

    Ok, so now, the only issue I'm having is what I think I've seen others have: the game loads me in as a new character so I'm not an owner of my claim block. I'll have to wait until the timer runs out to reclaim it, which for some of my claim blocks is 6 and a half days! Wow! So I'll look around and see if anybody has a fix for this.

    Excellent hard work, guys!! Really like the updates!! The grass and trees look great! And the clouds! Everything is awesome!
