    Hello,

Since the algorithm update for the ore detector in 1.186 this block is behaving weirdly.

    How to replicate:
New star system scenario survival setting. Spawn in atmospheric lander, go to nearest lake, try to find ores [e.g.: / my case: I've found Silver Gold and obviously it also showed Ice, because i was on a frozen lake]. I deconstructed the beacon, and with all the components I've built an antenna. Antenna has broadcasting on, ore detector has enable broadcasting via antenna on, ore detector is at max range. [both modules are on and i have power and i've tripple checked all settings] These settings should allow me to see where ores are located, at what distance etc, while i leave the atmospheric lander and am within the antenna's range, however as soon as i leave the lander ramp all white markers vanish. They don't vanish while i'm in the lander's control station, tho they kinda move around if the lander is moving.

    What i suspect:
Since the update on the ore detector, this fails to connect and transmit white markers properly via antenna.

    P.S.1:
While you are at it, raise the ore detection range a tad. Large 500m / Small 250m . If this yields a performance issue, then stop detecting ores in a sphere of 500m [e.g.] radius and start detecting ores in a cone of 45degrees in front of the ore detector, the volume of voxels scanned by the ore detector won't be massive at least. Also while you are still here, keen let us read and interpret ore markers with programmable blocks.

    P.S.2:
On a side note: depending on what terrain type i am, the character starts clipping through the ground. Another bug, probably related to the tools update that won't allow tools to clip through ground anymore.

    Thanks.

You have the lander antenna switched on but do you have your suit broadcast switched on too.

I have an issue with this as well; even in a ship, the ore markers seem to be sporadic. They'll blink, and flicker. If I get out of the ship, the markers will persist for *maybe* 20 seconds, then disappear. The same issue as the ship also occurs with the Hand Drill, for me at least.

Yes. I've mentioned i had checked all the settings. Friend clearly you spend to much time in creative rather than survival. Used to do the same.

Good to hear. Good luck to you and the devs!
