A way to cut down trees, please!

So iv'e been building my base on planets (and it's shaping up really nicely) however ive noticed that trees seem to either spawn randomly or at very least in places they weren't before. This becomes really annoying when a tree feels the need to impale my garage. Now believe me i have made a device to cut down trees and it works really well however even though the tree is no longer visibly there, nor is it's hit box, i still can't place blocks where the tree used to be. all im asking is that keen adds a tool or a way to use and existing tool to actually destroy trees or at very least move them.

 

Or a chainsaw

 

Flame thrower. Universal multitool.

 

Chain saw and wood usable for something.

 

it takes a while to cut down a tree with a flame thrower...

 

I shot a tree with a rocket and it started bouncing across the ground and then shot up in the air!

Rockets are super effective.

 

but thats the beautiful thing about it. One quick spray and it cuts itself down. Maybe even a few of its closest friends too.
Unless you are talking about using it like an axe. If thats the case I have a teaspoon and a grain silo with your name on them...

I agree, something for these pesky trees is needed. I tried a large car, but the tree just cut through metal like a hot knife through butter...

I think the standard grinder should be able to kill a tree.

 

Second the chainsaw idea (Yes, I do think we need MORE player tools. Why do you ask? and where's my harpoon gun and magnetic tether??)

 

The grinder looks like it could deal with trees.
They should add this tree saw capability to it. Maybe it could be a variant of the normal grinder with a wood cutter blade instead of a metal cutter blade
to make tree cutter vehicles a bit distinct from normal grinder tugs.

 

OMG there are growing trees through my landing platform!
Keen or modders do something against it please!

Normally the trees will fall if you hit them with your car fast enough.
