It seems like a very nice mod. Why not just keep it as a mod?

I am the author of the mod. I certainly uncomfortable, but if developers read, let will add transparency to the moving parts for advancedoor. :((

Don't they have transparency today? I'm sure the vanilla door has windows.

Well for the "advanced door" they have a different code.

Transparency is possible if you use the old subpart way as in dummies with "file" parameter like the stock doors (download my submarine door mod to see how it is done) btw nice to see this type of door on the workshop, i couldn't release mine for some reason

Excellent mod (And absolute zero offense intended to author) but I don't think they should make it stock as there is a tonne of functionality currently missing. Not due to an oversight by the author, but due to limitations by Keen.

For starters, most high end airlock system rely on scripts and/or timers these days and to use these we need buttons to trigger actions as well as trigger-on-state functions similar to vents. Placing (usually three) of these buttons around an airlock is extremely space intensive and users can easily break the system by using the door controls instead. See my signature for more details.

Secondly we really need a system to be able to reliably dock two ships together and create an airtight seal... while doors like this are superb for interior uses (accessing a hangar for example) it doesn't solve the main docking airlock issue (in fact it would be a disadvantage compared to being able to have a fully open passageway.

Again, a wonderful mod, very cleverly done but the real issue here shouldn't be making this stock but rather adding some better functionality to airlocks full stop.

I know our Source Code crowd would help if they had even a slight hope of any changes being merged!

I made a fool proof airlock using 2 blocks for the airlock (two doors end to end) and a simple script to turn on and off doors.
I would waste a tiny fraction of air using it, but it was so insignificant I didn't care.

Ha! I built the same rotating door as a concept for an airlock door ages ago when they introduced oxygen.
It just didn't work in vanilla game, because it's not air-tight. Funny to see this very same concept in a mod now. Seems like different people can still come to the same ideas. :tu:
I'd provide a picture of my old concept, but I'm currently not at my place. My laptop can't handle SE.
