I was tired of being unable to find accurate information anywhere on certain things, so I made an enormous spreadsheet containing all the data you could ever want on every block! Nearly all information originates or is calculated from the game files. Here it is:

For Full-screen Viewing: (Biggest View, Best Experience, Full Functionality)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    <<< https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/156mIkBxN5k-rA0z5jD28CgNehFOM-Ib5enwpykIKAfU >>>
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Embedded Viewing apparently no longer supported

    Enjoy! :)

Please reply in this thread or contact me on steam if you notice any typos that may cause incorrect information, have additional information to add, or have questions about the source and how such information was derived.

    [Steam Guide]
I also have a Steam Guide similar to this thread if you want to have easier steam-related access to the spreadsheet.

    [Comments]
Comments are enabled. You can leave a comment on a cell with Insert > Comment if you have something to point out, discuss, contribute, or request.

    [Column Sorting & Filtering]
Columns can be sorted alphabetically or by numbered value by clicking on the arrow on the column letter and then pressing 'Sort sheet A -> Z' or 'Sort sheet Z -> A'
You can also sort and filter columns (without even creating a copy of the sheet) by using Data > Filter Views > Create Temporary Filter > Click on Column Arrow > Sort or Remove Rows (Example: Uncheck large under Grid Column to only see Small Blocks)

    [Want to Help?]
I have the ability to give specific people access to specific areas of the sheet. If you want to publicly work on equations of your own (assuming they would contribute to the sheet) I would be happy to do add you.
If you want to help, give me your email address, what you want to do, and how many columns you need on what sheet.

    [Wiki Contribution]
If anyone wants to throw this info on the wiki, go for it. (I'm not involved with the wiki and I don't plan to be. Sorry)

    [Data Accuracy]
The data is gathered directly from the files. All changes made are not off of listed patch notes, but the changed files themselves. I keep archives of all relevant data files so that I can check diffs after each SE update to ensure accuracy. :p

This post and thread are edited constantly as the spreadsheet is updated, formatted, and added to.

That would have taken even more time. This took enough time as it was. Feel free to update it using the information I have if you want...

I'll add it if you know where I can get a list. Its not exactly in the files (at least from what I know)

I know but it is listed in-game, sort of. I made a list here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=365584802 . Granted I haven't added more recent blocks of late. Been playing other games.

Wonderful, this man deserves a medal!

Now I can finally calculate my power-usage without having to go through all that hassle.

    Thanks!

Thanks! They have been added :)

    Glad you all appreciate ;)

Have now added zebra striped cells to make looking across rows a little easier.
Also added calculated W/L/N per kg. Can see the most efficient storage, power generation, and thrust in terms of mass.
Edit: Added Ore Refined & Ingots Produced in s/min/day. Additional Formatting. Added Equation Sheets.

    [Math Fixes]
Just realized that an enormous portion of my calculations were incorrect due to one tiny missing number! I was calculating everything that had to do with refining times off of the ore to ingot refine times. After adding Arc Furnaces that have a refine speed of 1.6, I realized that I forgot to actually multiply base times by the refinery's 1.3 refine speed.

This has now been fixed, affecting 2,271 cells.... (oops)

I have also added Ice to Oxygen Generation ratio's and speed. Something to note is that with the oxygen balance update, they changed:
    1.075 & 1.076: 1kg ice -> 6 O2
    1.076.011: 1kg ice -> 3 O2

Basically, oxygen generation requires twice the ice to get the same oxygen now. You don't breath such an insane amount though, so its still much more efficient. Filling a room will require twice the ice though.

Edit: Added Storage Capacity (O2) column and moved data from 'other info' to this column

    [Layout & Columns (+new data!)]
Added Calculated Volume Column showing the real space in cubic meters used by every block on the grid!
Pulled Force (N) and Range (m) out of Other Info into their own columns.
Organized Block Type categories into a more logical order.
Recolored categories in a more logical way.
    Re-sized Columns for easier reading.
Manually set decimal places on hundreds of cells to make the most accurate and easily readable that I could manage.
Updated all Equations on their sheets.

Edit: Had an issue with Volume (m^3) calculations. Fixed now :D
Edit2: Sortable Chart Data Source is now Hidden

    Small bugreport:
    * wide LCD panels large and small XYZ sizes are confused(6x3x1 <-> 2x1x1)
    * refining multiplier wrong(arc furnace is ~23% faster)

    Table is very useful!

P.S. May be better to change grind time to grind multiplier?

Thanks for the info, and glad you find it useful!

Fixed the Wide LCD panels and recalculated volume correctly.
    Added Grind Ratio Column.

Refining Multiplier is correct though. (unless I'm missing something)
Refinery refines at 130% normal speed. Arc Furnace refines at 160% normal speed.
    160/130 = 1.23 = 23% faster as you stated.

[New Sheet, New Column & Fixes]
    New
Now two different sheets depending on what viewing options you find easier!
Original Sheet is Center Aligned with Truncated Decimals on columns and values that have none (or few). Only Decimal Places with Value are shown (up to 3 places typically)
New Sheet is Right Aligned for easier reading of numbers and has Constant Decimals on columns if most numbers have decimals. Values without Decimal Places will still show their places to keep the alignment. Easier for number reading but adds a LOT more clutter.
    Take your pick ;)
    Earlier Today
Fixed the Wide LCD panel XxYxZ size and m^3 being incorrectly swapped and recalculated volume correctly. (Found by Fishkaras)
Added Grind Ratio Column upon request. It is calculated from Weld vs. Grind times, but being that I input Grind times off of Weld Times * Grind Ratio, it reverses back to the original source value.

I could be wrong but on page "Refining" processing time of 1kg iron ore is 0.08s for arc furnace and 0.065s for refinery, ie arc furnace is slower.

[Fixed Refining Math Properly This Time]
All the refining time values (and anything based off of them) were still incorrect after I fixed them last time. I made a dumb math error...
They are fixed now! Thanks @Fishkaras for noticing. The equation was wrong in 15 cells, which in turn made 4,377 incorrect cells (counting both block sheets).
Also updated Refining Equations Sheet to reflect changes.
Added basic Grind Ratio Equation to Block Equations Sheet

This is a very detailed spreadsheet, I like it.

There is something in particular I wanted to look up data for, maybe a spreadsheet calc would be handy.

A large ship with x amount of mass,
What would the acceleration be for x small thrusters and x large thrusters? and energy requirements?

What about gravity drive? x artificial mass and x gravity gens. And power requirements..

Trying to guess what is most efficient or best performance, I feel like a chart would tell a better story. As the thruster count goes up, so does weight and power requirements (more weight). This may be a total side project.

I could do it if i had the equations. I actually am working on adding data inputs right now (for those with different refining/assembling/inventory multipliers) that will calculate the entire sheet off of those inputs. If I had the equations for acceleration at hand I could add a sheet that would accept specific input and calculate everything off of it :) Could then have it directed into a graph or chart from multiple input points to graph efficiency and other comparisons. I like this idea.

Thanks, I'll use that once I decipher what they're saying :woot: Would be nice to have deccel input. Then I can just grab the standard accel equations. Nice.
