Can't open the game anymore [latest dev version]

    Lately whenever I launch the game I get an error about the need to update my Intel Family graphic card driver.
    The thing is that I use ingame NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M graphic card and it has the latest dricer version.
    As of the latest game update I can no longer launch the game, I get the intel driver error (which I tried but failed to update) and if I click cancel the game menu window show but its all white.
    My laptop is running windows 8.1 64bits.

    going to device manager to check for updates to intel graphic card and it said it does not need an update.

    I have the same problem on stable branch, I have win 10 x64. Here is the screenshot, game doesn't crash, just this screen forever [​IMG]

    Exactly same problem here, exactly same result from updating drivers (update failed) as gothosan. I got same white/gray window as zorgkirill on stable branch.
    My graphic cards Intel HD 4600 and GeForce 860M (used in game).

    Well, same problem here, but on stable. Latest drivers and game does not start anyway. Intel HD 4000 and GeForce 650M. (i know it's old...)

    same problem... version dev. White screen and workable buttons.
    Message recommend update drivers but while update I receive error that I have already new drivers in system...
    Win 10 x64
    nVidia 840M \ Intel HD graphics family (both have latest drivers)
    I think need to remove driver check at startup.

    I started game on other video render. But ... this is not a comfortable game.
    In config file, at appdata, find line - <Key xsi:type="xsd:string">VideoAdapter</Key> and change value from 0 to 1 or if you have 1, change it to 0
    Game tell you again, that you have older drivers and need to download, but it starts... in game lobby you recive message That she found better graphic card bla bla bla... when you change the adapter in option, you need to restart, when you restart - you take older bug with white screen. To sad... ((

    Dear KEEN's... please, remove popup message about update drivers, I think this make a problem... Change this popup to ingame message in red font if you really need it.

    I had the same error about the need to update my Intel Family graphic card driver.

    took some time to get the correct update for it....and im playing on a laptop with
    intel hd family graphics
    8 gb ram
    intel i5 4200 processor

    same same same ol really didn't truly notice any difference the usual landing gears causing muh respawn lander to float off with no logical reason for it still there.

    So after recent updates my sim speed is around .50 and goes up and down little before this it was about a 1 im not really 100% sure why but he are my pc specs and info.

    Hi, I got this game a long time ago, but I never got around to playing it much because my old computer was very bad. Now, I am on a New Razerblade 2016 (Nvidia 970m, 16 gb of ram). When I start up the game in 1920 by 1080 in fullscreen windowed mode, I get a white screen and that is it, I can see the cursor though. But, before that, I tried to create a new game, but the game crashed after 30 seconds. The windows error thing that says searching solution on net shows up etc. etc. Please help I really want to play this game! thank you all :)

    I am really sorry guys for what happened. Right now we are trying to fix the issue but i will need your help. If you can send me here as a PM your SpaceEngineer.log and your VRageRender-DirectX11.log and symptoms of what you are experiencing. A simple decriptions of what you click and what you see will suffice. With that information we can see into the problem much further.
    The problem will get some sort of treatment on Thursday or if possible as a immediate fix on Monday.

    Thank you and again we really apologize about the incovenience this caused and is causing.

    The bug actually works as I described in "joke-code" above, but I found another interesting thing recently. I manually changed videoadapter in config from powerful Nvidia to Intel integrated graphics (which is supposed to be not supported). And what I got? THE GAME LAUNCHED111, SHOWED AN INCOMPATIBLE DRIVER WARNING, AFTER THAT SHOWED ANOTHER WARNING ADVISING TO UPDATE DRIVERS ON UNSUPPORTED (unsupported, LOL!!!) VIDEOADAPTER, AFTER THAT SHOWED THIRD WARNING THAT IT DETECTED POWERFUL NVIDIA VIDEOADAPTER (with which the game refuses to work, coz it finds integrated adapter and freezes, KEK). AFTER ALL WARNINGS, I COULD PLAY THE GAME AS USUAL, WITH UNSUPPORTED VIDEOADAPTER!!!

    WHAT DRUGS DID YOUR PROGRAMMERS USE, WHEN THEY CODED THIS "DRIVERS WARNINGS" ?????

    PLEASE, APPLY MY BUGFIX MENTIONED ABOVE, CONSISTING OF COMMENT TAGS, COVERING THE WHOLE THIS STUPID FEATURE.

    Also while I'm too annoyed by this bug there's no need to offend the programmers who worked on this..
    And how did you switch the video card settings? I've been trying to find it too for a while now.

    Imagine that you have a car, every normal car has a hole to put the key into, and to start the engine. Now imagine, that a mechanic, while repairing the car, put that starting mechanism with a hole backwards, so it's inside the car, and you are not able to put the key and start the engine anymore (the whole car is ok). That's what the developers made with this warning. So they deserve CAPS.

    Now to your question: WIN -> %appdata% -> (you should get to c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\spaceengineers) -> open spaceengineers.cfg -> in the bottom there is

    <item>
    <Key xsi:type="xsd:string">VideoAdapter</Key>
    <Value xsi:type="xsd:string">0</Value>
    </item>

    Change value from 0 to 1, or from 1 to 0, save the file, and lauch the game as usual.

    I have tried changing Nvidia configuration so it will have higher priority when launching programs that need GPU, even that did not help..

    they broke it on 09.02 stable bugfix (lol), our only hope ended on 16.02 unsuccessful lens flare patch...

    It seems that our only hope is if they update source code on github, and I will push a commit with fix...

    Showed the joke code to the programmer he chuckled and started typing away. He knows about the issue and is putting something together. We cant really just disable that message but we sure as hell need to change for it to not block you guys from playing.

    You should really just disable that message and whole that feature, I doubt that you will fix it in the next half of the year...

    Got the same message. I tried setting compatibility to win7 and run as administrator. The game showed me the error table, but after clicking on cancel button I was able to play. It was running on the GT 650M, only in relatively small window, but it was enough to test some things.
    I hope for the fix in short time.

    Time for some space engineering -> Start Steam -> Check updates -> Start Space Engineers (Stable) -> Warning window appear (OK sand me to intel web, Close, well... closes window) -> ... and nothing. Just white screen in front of my eyes. I can hear the background soundtrack and menu button sounds. I can click on them, but I can see nothing. Just white... -> Rage -> :( nope... Alt +F4 -> Close Steam -> Start something else...

    Rocketmann, just try the compatibility (win7) settings and run the game as admin. Also, we have pretty much same computer parts.

    Win7 compatibility and "run as admin" resulted in, well... nothing. Same white screen as before.

    I think there still could be a mistake somewhere deep in my laptop PC settings. I am not an IT technician so i don't know where it could exactly be. I checked everything twice, downloaded whole bunch of updates, also reinstall entire game and it's still not working... I am so frustrated :( . I want to play this perfect game, but i can't...
