Thanks. I have a new paint scheme I'm thinking about using for my corvettes and newer builds.

Haha I guess not, kinda surprised I got that much built in a night. Hoping I can build a few more this week.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

    Blueprint!

After receiving quite a few requests for a ship designed to be used primarily in an escort role for industrial/trade routes the engineers at CDI decided it was time to get back to the drawing board and fill a void in the corporations lineup.

Standard guidelines for the creation of the new vessel were simple. No more than 12 weapon systems, minimum crew capacity of 5. High acceleration rate, capability for long distance journeys, jump capable, pressurized. And had to utilize the new CDI standard docking port.

To achieve these goals the design team started with a discarded nose cone originally intended for the Tazawa, allowing a quick production time and earning the Kelimutu the nickname of Mini-Taz.

The Kelimutu Light Attack Frigate is a rather agile vessel weighing in at 1.9 Mil Kg fully loaded it still achieves a base acceleration of 7.2 Seconds and a top speed in 14.5 Seconds. Allowing the Kelimutu to close on and get ahead of most ships that would be attacking large trading ships. Two jump drives allow the Kelimutu to get in and out of distant areas quickly.

Not ones to be outguned the team at CDI equipped the Kelimutu with 3 sequenced rocket pods at the front of the vessel and 8 weapon hardpoints equipped with turret systems. Internally the vessel is comprised of 5 decks, inline small reactor systems, a backup battery bank of 9 batteries, doors controlled by sensors, pressurization provided by 4 oxygen farms, and 2 cryo rooms for extra crew or to house captured individuals.

Step into your new Caldera Class Kelimutu Frigate today!

After the quarantine of Enceladus in 2102, the Ice export flowing out of Ganymede began to skyrocket thanks to a partnership between KUS and CDI. In an effort to protect thier interests CDI begins work on a Heavy Strike Fighter designed to defend against larger vessels that may attempt to hinder their precious industry. By the year 2103 CDI has finished their newest vessel and the first atmospheric ship ever.

The Ettingshall is a pure atmospheric vessel favoring the "newtonian" style of flight dynamics, although able to slow her forward motion in a typical manner skilled pilots of CDI's naval defense sector have learned to use the flight dynamics to their benefits.
With 3 gatling guns located on the nose cone of the cockpit the pilots are able to get large amounts of sustained fire on whatever is in front of them. In the even of coming in contact with a station or large more heavily armored vessels pilots also have 4 wing mounted rocket pods and 2 size 3 gatling turrets to lay the hurt on others.

Typically seen in "Flights" of 3 the Ettingshall frequently ventures off on long scouting journeys thanks to the onboard oxygen system and 4 battery systems.

    CDI Standard-Model Ice Mining Installation

    Cargo: 8 Large Containers
Connectors: 2 (Docking Tower, Landing Pad), as well as 2 in the mine for mining drones.
    Hydrogen: 6 Tanks
    Fully Battery & Solar Powered

    Description:
When KUS and CDI expanded their joint ice industry to the moon of Europa, facilities like this one were the first to be established. It existed for the sole purpose of extracting ice efficiently (mostly using mining drone technology) and converting it into Hydrogen fuel for use in the Phoenix fleets.

Unfortunately, their expansion caught the attention of CEU, and in 2103 war broke out between the faction and all of Phoenix. Facilities like this were amongst the first to suffer the effects of such conflicts.

    Hello fellow engineers!

Just a quick status update, I'm still alive and still building new content. But I'm also currently enrolled in school for Game art and only end up with 4 hours or so of gameplay time at the end of every week.

I'll have something new out eventually but education comes before fun.

    Stay tuned!

I expect you to come out with a game or join keen, I hear they need "level designers"

    Lmao
If Keen is still looking for level designers by the time I graduate I'll Look in to it. Ironically environment design is my current draw to game art, although that is always subject to change.

nice to see you are alive, now maybe PFS can stop having such a monopoly in Phoenix. Everyone has deserted us ship-wise :(

" CDI is in the process of engineering many new vessels to support the growth and wellbeing of the republic. We will continue to develop our ship systems despite the lack of available manpower. "

Lol, yea everyone has kind of disappeared and for the most part without any sort of warning (myself included. Until now) I'm still working on some ships for us. My biggest project is getting the carrier sorted but it's still somewhat laggy (conveyor network is intense, need more refining from keen me thinks).

Anyway, I'm still around. And I'm still on the forums a lot so if you need anything just send me a message man.

Well, I'm still living :p Sorry for my inactivity, it's just that I don't have any idea what to do right now, started my own I've mine recently, but I can't get myself to finish it. :( Apologies

yes the conveyor networks have hurt me as well, though they have seemed to improve over the last few weeks a bit. i was just working on a ship, and noticed significantly better framerate than before. looking forward to your death carrier, though.

@Tyriosh if you can't decide how to finish a mine, just go deeper and put in more boxes :p

Oh yea the frame rate has definitely gotten much better in the last few updates, I'd say conveyor optimization only needs two maybe three more fixes before it's completely solid.

@Tyriosh just toss some drills on the floor of the mine. Then it'll be finished.

I somehow seemed to have deleted the post with the Caracal in it. So, here it is again.

CDI is happy to announce another member to our growing family of affordable, effective and reliable security craft.

Today is the release of our Caracal Light Recon Vehicle!

Please go check out the link to the workshop, let me know what you all think.
    Feedback is always appreciated!

And because I deleted the post and now I feel silly.

What's this? Increased CDI Military presence on Europa?!

We're going to have to call the Phoenix Ambassador about this!

P.S. Good to see you back in the game man!

Yea, looking forward to it man. We've had some fun times.

    No increased military presence here...

Good to be back. It was hard to find anytime with my full time job and school. However, since I've left my full time job to focus on school more. I'm now left with a little extra game time. Lol. Im good at being an adult.
