I've always loved the Caldari Rokh Battleship from EVE Online. So massive, poignant, and fear-inspiring. No fancy fins, no crazy curves - just a giant, armed brick, ready to hit you from 200km away (with the right skills of course...)

So it was no surprise that after getting the feel for Space Engineers, I tackled this fantastic battleship.

    The main entrance, heavily guarded.

    Primary Bridge
    [IMG]

Officers Quarters - sleeps six. Lights can be flashed to Red to indicate emergency status. (That is, when I fix the groups that no longer work.)

Conference Room - beneath Officers Quarters. Tinted glass keeps prying eyes away.

Captains Quarters - across from conference room.

Primary Reactor & Storage Room - main entrance room is in far background.

Hidden Internal Engines - function even with thruster damage enabled. Allows for extra-fast acceleration, while hiding upward and forward facing engines for a cleaner ship exterior.

Gyro Room (I didn't want to just hide them between floors - figured I'd make it an actual room.)

Crew/Pilot Quarters - sleeps 40, 2 to a room. Lights are grouped for emergency alerts.

Pilots can view into the hangar bay to monitor the status of their fighter drones.

And the Hangar Bay - featuring 5 "Infiltrator II" Drones. Drones feature dual machine guns and quad rocket launchers, beacon, conveyor system, and a heavy engine "afterburner" which can be engaged after exiting the bay.

She measures in at 257 meters long - exactly 1/4th the size of the actual Rokh. (The one visible in the back of the second photo was my first attempt at a 1/5th scale. The extra 57 meters gave me a lot more room to work with.)

She was built with combat in mind, with backup control systems hidden within the ship's armor. She packs 12 gatling guns and 22 missile turrets, as well as 4 dumb-fire rocket launchers in the front. Each exterior gun is conveyor fed from the central storage unit, and there are redundant conveyor systems. In addition, there is a refueling/rearming point (collectors) at the aft of the ship, between the conference room and the rear engines. Artificial gravity ends just before this point so that items can be unloaded upwards into the ship. She has 62 Thrusters and 64 Gyroscopes. She weighs in at 23,147,178 kg's, and is built from 8,829 blocks.

I still have some paint work to do, and I have to rebuild all my stupid groups (THANKS devs...) 116 lights I get to delete and rebuild...

    Hope you folks like it.

    Nice work...

Dont complain about 116 lights, build it in survival (as i am with my supercarrier) and then 116 lights is a drop in the ocean... :)

Good work, but I think that It could use a paint job.

Standard issue Rokhs were gray actually. In fact most caldari ships were except for navy issue. Those were dark gray.

That is a nice job on a beautiful ship. Personally the Rokh and the Ferox were my 2 favorites. But unlike the standard tradition that you mentioned above with making sniper boats, my girls were blaster boats. The Rokh is actually downright lethal with 1400 dps per volley. People don't expect that melt your face damage from that ship at that range. And the best kill I ever got on my Ferox was a 1.3 bn isk cruiser (pirate cruiser with high end goodies) in a 2 on 1 fight (I was the one). She's an old bird and people say she's sucks, but it just makes victories that much sweeter.

Thanks DDP. I used my Rokh (first battleship I ever built in the game) to melt a large POS with my corp. My T2 Blaster Rokh dealt the most damage overall.

I said she needs paint. :) The one in the back has some paint, but there isn't a tremendous amount of color on these, and there is no Navy Issue Rokh. It is however one of a few ships that CCP just released alternate paint jobs for (for real money....)

I found that reselecting the items for a group and saving it with the original name simply put them back... I didn't have to delete the group and recreate it from scratch.

That looks epic! and btw ty, ty for making it without a program that imports 3d models... I seriously hate that those are on the workshop. It's not lazy but it's a cop-out of actually building them so seeing this made me really happy! TY my friend!

Nah I imported a 3DS model AFTER I built the 1/5th scale, and realized how far off I was. So I imported the model again at 1/4th scale and then modified (a copy of) my original ship to look pretty similar to the import, then just deleted the import.

What a pain it was, too! The modified version - for a while - was a ship inside a ship, and it took FOREVER to carefully remove elements of the smaller version without breaking the thing into multiple pieces!

I DO think I'll be importing the Chimera carrier as it is FAR more complicated, and then heavily modifying the import. Maybe. Lately I haven't had much time for SE anyways, unfortunately!

Amazing ship and work & it seems no one ever told you that using projectiles and missles on a Rokh is a bad idea ;)

Good job with Rokh! Looks good.

Maybe you could give it a rail gun? (gravity cannon)
