Aside from the "motor" vs "rotor" issue, which I have been told that they will never fix the translation error...
...
There are multiple grammatical mistakes on the Get Localization website, and although I have submitted corrections on the website, they have yet to take effect. Am I doing something wrong, or does the website ignore English > English translations?

How long have you waited?
Also, if you post something and no one (from the community) looks at it, it won't get noticed by the staff, you need others to agree (proofread) that your "translation" is correct, otherwise anyone can write anything and have it implemented.
Why does people keep ranting about the rotor?
If you want it your way, you're suggesting a flawed correction.

If anything, it's a servomotor.
A motor is a part of a servomotor(duh).
Just like a rotor is a part of a motor.
A motor does not provide specific control of mechanical position without peripherals, a servomotor does.

Obviously it is a "Servo Motor" (two words), I even say that in my 10-minute video rant.

But "motor" is good enough, "servo motor" is just too long a txt string for the purposes of the game's UI.

"Motor", is way more correct than "rotor", which in the American English language, doesn't fit in the slightest bit.

Servomotor is one word, look it up.
And using your example, Servo would be more correct than Motor, since a Servomotor is what is most often meant when he term Servo is used.

How is "Servomotor" too long of a string?
We have:
"Heavy Armor Inv. Corner"
"Large Cargo Container"
"Gravity Generator"
etc.
In fact, most of the objects in the game have names that are longer than "Servomotor"
Are we done with the intellectual masturbation? As you stated, it's not going to be changed.

Just because Wikipedia says it is a "servomotor" does not mean it is true. Wikipedia once told me salt is not NaCl (sodium chloride).

If you are going to trust anyone, trust people who actually sell them for a living:
https://www.emersonindustrial.com/en-us/controltechniques/products/servomotors/Pages/servomotors.aspx
https://ab.rockwellautomation.com/motion-control/servo-motors
https://www.robotshop.com/en/servo-motors.html
https://www.jameco.com/Jameco/workshop/howitworks/how-servo-motors-work.html

It is too long of a string because the UI does not scale properly, and until that is fixed, they need to keep part names short.

I only masturbate to women. Science is just a hobby. ;)

I didn't check Wikipedia, but a dictionary, i'm pretty sure it's more credible than RC retailers when it comes to the proper way to form a word.

Salt is not necessarily Sodium Chloride, a salt is an ionic compound produced by reacting an acid with a base, for example copper sulfate (CuSO_4)

Intellectual masturbation: Attempting to make an intellectual breaktrhough which is utterly without use, and therefore of no real consequence to anyone

Sorry, but i'm going to trust Emerson (and my engineering professors) over some random dictionary.

No, you didn't read what I typed. It said that salt is not NaCl. I don't remember what it called it, but it was completely wrong. The whole page was spoofed.

Also, you didn't need to explain your ridiculous masturbation comment, but it does seem like you need to learn that a ;) communicates joking and/or sarcasm.

Edit:
So you might think "wth?", well that is exactly my thought. IIRC you got nearly banned for pushing the rotor vs motor topic over and over again, yet you can not stop it. Just let it rest.

Edit2: same goes to your pathetic video with "incredibly qualified research" and comments like this

I don't care what he says, he is wrong. Absolutely wrong. The device is NOT a rotor, and will never be a rotor, even if they removed all the movement and rotation settings, it still wouldn't be a rotor, it would be a hinge. The terminology is wrong, and this game will never gain back my support & respect until it is fixed.

It's a game called Space Engineers, not an engineering simulator.

It's Rotor. Motor is a spinning object with no control. Rotors can be controlled in what direction they spin. (I'm not a scientist. I hate science. I just wanted to end this shit.)

@MotoRider42HC...
Seeing your forum posts and comments like this... I have only one thing to tell you. You are retarded and utterly self-centered. Please, leave this forum, leave Space Engineers, and go be dumb somewhere else. You can probably make a similar game, with even more functionality, and with the "motor" vs "rotor" thing just as you want it to be. I wish you tremendous sales and an awesome community around your game. Now leave and stop bothering us here any more.
