looking for a place to change the texture colours of the ores and I couldn't find any, so I went ahead and changed them myself. The only one I'm really pleased with is the uranium ore as black does not work in space to well, and I'm sure it is suppose to be green.

place file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Textures\Voxels

    folder.

point is, the black doesnt work for me, doesnt matter what colour is normally is. my original was way to yellow and didn't look right so I changed it to green.

I think that is an effect of oxidation... which you wouldn't get in space.

Yeah, I think you're right . Although I am a bit dodgy on my chemistry now...

It really depends on the type of ore. Here are a few.
Pitchblende, the most common ore of uranium. This is almost certainly what the original texture was modeled after.

    Autunite crystals

    Carnotite

And finally, Torbernite. The molecular structure includes copper, giving the mineral its green color.

Yeah, but it kind of sucks that we won't know what kinds of ores actually occur in asteroids for at least a few decades.
