they could solve and ruin many many problems by making batteries return cells but start with 0 charge.

How about allowing the assembler to pre-charge/recharge batteries (<power cells) while/when they sit in the assembled component slot? As long as the completed cell is sitting there, it is being charged; up to and including a full charge. It would make it so that if you simply want a battery block without any need of immediate power, you put fresh cells into the battery on your ship immediately, recharge it after you assemble it. But if you want to build something with the battery partially or fully charged, you let the cells sit in the assembler for a little while.

Could also work as a way to recharge batteries after having grinded them down. Forget the scrap, get our power cells back and simply put them back into the assembler to recharge them. Would also work as a way to create portable battery packs and lights. <Hand-held, deployable lights that you can carry around and for an "emergency light" block that contains a power source that lasts a few minutes even if not connected to a powered grid.

Not sure what would be needed to change the power cells to allow this... they'd need to have a way to give them a percentage for determining energy stored. Coding them to know that they are sitting in the assembler shouldn't be that hard. Maybe even as simple as say "every ten minutes the cell/s gain 10% capacity" or something.

I actually like that idea, makeing to power cells chargable, and able to pwoer other things othere then just makeing battrys there are lots of times I wanted to set up work lights, on a tempary basses with out a gride to attach them to
