I'm looking to make a mouse-aimed turret for a tank, but don't want to remote-control a sub-grid. My thought is, make the turret aim where the driver is looking.

The gist is that if I get the angles the driver is looking, I can compare them to the current angles of the turret and rotate using scripts to match them up.
The awkward bit is I don't know how to get those angles, or even if it's possible.

    Suggestions?

There is no information about the player except through a sensor.

That will give you orientation, so you can tell which direction they are facing. But nothing about their current view angle.

Well, then clearly this is the sort of really useful information it'd be great for cockpits to provide!
