Jump drive not working for big ships.

    I am having an issue with jump drives, that when I try to jump, it says it has an obstacle at 90m ahead, this obstacle are my own ship...
    I am not sure if this is an bug or an bad mechanic, if so the jump drive should be in the nouse of the ship ?

    You have to rename it from .txt to .rar
    Your email server is rejecting .rar files so I had to rename it to .txt

    Wagner could i ask you to ensure that you aren't blind jumping into a planets gravity well?
    and that any small ship or large ship connectors aren't in use?

    those two issues did prevent me from jumping so i put a landing gear onto a small ship connector to have it jump with me and reduced my blind jump distance.

    No connectors, and not blind jumping into anything, just this ship dont jump to any direction. It allways says it has an obstacle at 91m...

    What is located 90 m (36 large ship blocks) in front of the first block that you built when making the ship?

    Made an video :

    I just give up from this ship and build another, that had no problem.
    But its an severe bug and it should be fixed.

    One bug in that video: the line "Obstacle Detected! Jump Distance will be truncated. \n" contains a \n newline escape that doesn't do anything. In fact, this is the only \n in MyTexts.resx, so it probably needs to be removed.
    Append("\n"); in the actual jump drive system code seems to work.


    Theory: the airtight hangar doors at the front of his ship are detected as an obstacle and blocking the jump. Those large left and right hangar pods are about 36 blocks long. Untested so far.

    I did notice other thing, if I try to jump and I have an big ship behind me, it will also bugs and dont allow jumping...

    Just upload the world save to the steam workshop and link it here. It will make it simpler for all of us to try the issue because i am not getting the problem.

    Yes and i cannot open up crypted folders like that on company computers.

    Publish the world to the workshop and send the link for it.

    This folder is not crypted, its ziped, if you dont know how to open it just ask someone to do it.

    zipped counts as an encryption as it alters the data structures, into a compressed version that doesn't resemble the original data.

    I just need you to go to SAVE GAME and find your save and click on PUBLISH and send that link to me its easy as that.
