Some of you have already offered your help with localizing Space Engineers to your native language and so we have set up a crowd-localization project at https://www.getlocalization.com/SpaceEngineers where anyone can join (free account) and provide or vote for translations.
We will keep reviewing your translations frequently and integrate them into future updates of Space Engineers (every few weeks).
If you become a very active translator, your name may get into the game credits.

Only 33 strings for german translation left - Going to finish it now!

Great game, needs tons of support.

    Edit
    German translation is under survey.

Its pretty good I would say, just a bit of polish and it should be good to go!

Do you have a plan for supporting Asian language's characters (Chinese, Korean or Japanese) in future?

As it is, we can only add languages with latin-based alphabets. You can find more details at https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/localization.html . It might change depending on interest of people in those countries though.
    PS: 僕なら、漢字のサポートを開発したいですけど。:)

Most information can be found here: https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/localization.html . Looking at the current state at https://www.getlocalization.com/SpaceEngineers/, Hungarian translation of the current version seems to be mostly finished and only being validated by users. We will most likely include it in one of the updates in near future.

A few of these seem to smell a bit of google translate (Not shortened sentences, out of context words), although that's probably just me acting paranoid, heh

I improved a part of the german translation and translated some untranslated strings.
    Pretty useful site for translations.

Excuse me of being laic as I'm new on this forum, but in what way the translations are put to alpha game, I mean if for one language version there are many translations posted for single entry by various ppl, who decides which entry is going to game. Is it decided only by votes? Are there any team leaders to contact with? I'm interested in Polish version, which is almost ready as I see, but it has some text bugs I'd like to share opinion about...

I actually had the same thing with the dutch translation. However this probably is also due to the lack of context (or reading of it) and the translation of multiple strings in a row, which takes a toll.
Some pretty bad stuff in there. Amount of thrusters translated to something that means 'pushed', but spelled wrong. That kind of stuff.
Large part is fortunately just some context and oversights (and some personal preference things probably)

Also I noticed that nobody managed to read the 'DON'T TRANSLATE' context message...

I do have a problem though. I am fixing stuff and voting things, but for some reason when I filter on 'things I have not voted for', I keep seeing things I already have voted for.
With 700 strings this is pretty annoying... Probably a bunch of strings that I have not seen (and there is a substantial part that could use some improvement in context).

Also it should have updated, but the Dutch localisation doesn't appear to be changed; even my changes which were ranked '1st place' have not been updated.

Erm, I had a look at the credits in the game, and I noticed the list was incredibly small, almost 1 person per 3-4 languages.

Would it not be better to have a section in the credits for each language? As it takes quite a lot of people to get it right, voting is also incredibly useful, as there have been a few near-terrible translations due to not understanding the context.

There have been a lot more people translating Spanish than just gon.gged (As much as I admire how many strings you translated), I don't really think it should be "Whoever translated the most get's their name in the credits"; voting, discussion, and translation should all count, and even people who only translated a few strings most likely prevent quite a few misunderstandings.

For example, me and SVCworker spent quite a while fixing a few things, checking if certain characters were supported, and generally making sure the translations work, I can see darklon contributed in quite a few, and managed to fix some errors in other translations, frigo96 also did quite a lot, and there are about 4 or 5 more people who contributed quite a bit.

Hey! thanks by giving me credits but i did almost nothing there, all was already translated by you, gon.gged and all the other people helping. I just throw some opinions and made a few new translations due to game updates.

All credits is for you guys, i dont care i cant see my nick on that list. Though I agree if you wish they are including your name/nick on credits as you did a lot of work there and you deserve it Wazbat

Hi friends, I hope you can help me with this two short questions:

    - How validation status works? If there is only one translator for a language, who is going to vote the translations?

    - Is there any chance to test the already finished translations directly in the game? (And then try to improve the size of the sentences or the words...)

    Thanks!

    Hi

As far as i know theres a few people working on each translation, as soon as they are registered users they can vote, write alternative translations, make comments about the already translated etc

Dont know about your second question and its a good one, since i seen some translated text overwriting the key bindings

    Thanks for your catalá translation!
