Hi, space engineers community.I am tom, a space engineers player and mod learner.

Recently, I am making battleship turret mod. And,it is my first time making a mod, I am confused about following steps.

    Top structure of turret
    [IMG]

    rotation part(barrel) of turret
    [IMG]

    base of turret
    [IMG]

So, I need to do in following steps are

    1. Link all the component together.

    2. Set up collision model,mount-points and Block mirror of the turret.

    3.Texture

    4.Create a file for update.

If I miss any steps, please tell me.

Then, I have questions about the following steps.

So, I write a list of question.

    1. As you can see, the components of turret are a group of object.

Should I join all components into one object? (Using the blender hot key Ctrl + J , Joining function)

    2. Should I convert blender file to fbx file before I continue?

    3. How do I set the camera view, conveyor interface and control panel interface?

(You know the conveyor interface and control panel interface are highlight and controllable.)

I think I need to create an “Empty” and change its name to “detector_conveyor”.

I am not sure about that.

    4. How do I texturing my mod? Which software do I need ?

I think I should export uv map of mod and import into graphics editor (such as Photoshop or GIMP), and draw a texture.

But, I have no clue how to convert it to Dx11 texture.

In the end, thank for the help of space engineers community.

Hopefully, I can finish this mod and make more WWII Navy turret in the future.
