Found the default interior stairs too large (2x1x1) for close quarters, so I made small stairs that fit in one block. They are functional, not just for decoration (i.e., collision model is included). 360 polys (triangles).

Small Stairs mod download: http://bit.ly/LXzwvL. Install using Curs0r's block installer.

Hey Moroder, got this and the only problem I am having with them so far is if there isn't a block underneath it, it will not adjust to look like you can still climb it.

I have a base built into an asteroid and if I try to get it to look like it is coming out of the ground to go up, it will not rotate to go from the rock up to where the floor is.

Any ideas on how I can fix it without having to drill into the rock to put one block down?

These are beautiful, any chance you can put a railing on it?

Me like. Fits in with the aesthetics of the game very well too.

Haven't taken that into account, sorry it doesn't work. I'll have a look when I can.

There is a certain 'chunkiness' to the factory-delivered models that I tried to align to, so that makes me happy to hear this, thank you.

This is great, no more being forced to use windows as stairs anymore.

I installed this block today and love it, just one problem, the texture isn't there, in the game.

Any idea how to fix that?

I love this, I can't tell you how many ship designs I've given up on because I couldn't find a pretty way to include stairs (I personally hate ladders/corridoors).

I'm having some issues getting it installed, though I have no doubt it's my fault.

+1 These were indeed some great looking stairs. Oh well, looks like it's back to using the sloped shutters as 1x1x1 stairs for now ;).

Sorry, I'll blow the dust off when I get a chance. Perhaps even add functionality, now that the Mod API is on the way (so exciting!). Though I guess stairs are stairs. Less a use case for code than the cargo hauler autopilot that I'm coding up (based on what the ModAPI namespaces hint at).
