You call this a joke build? I may have to go and cry a little over my lack of ingenuity.

Several months ago, I used a similar concept for a miner that could turn while mining through asteroids. Overall it was somewhat useful.

I think this build needs something more human to it

What do you have on the heads of those torpedoes?

Cargo containers with iron ingots. the torpedoes explode on proximity and pierce the target with shrapnells

Nice! I'd probably go with stone just 'cause it's everywhere and you don't get much use out of it anyway. Then again I'd just make a metal rod.:p

Metal rods get eaten up by armour really quick. Ingots or ore keep their Mass and momentum to pierce through a lot of armour

Ok. I'll remember that when I finally get my game updated and get working on torpedoe bombers. (I have a rocket turret bomber, but no heavy bombers.)

My rods go clean through any ship I've fired them against....they need to above some minimum mass before you start getting really good pen.

Lore time! (aka. I finally got my lazy ass to write some stuff)

    Story of this ship:
It was a experimental freighter from earth in the early days of jump drive travel, and was employed by a corporation to set up a basic mining platform on a distant desert planet full of resources, because the earths rare metals were almost exhausted. The ship towed a large colonization capsule with it's magnetic clamp, and dropped it over Sune, a very dusty planet that was near it's systems sun, without problems: the colony was being built and more people joined the colony until it was a small city. Then a very strong solar flare occured and hit the ship which was used as a communication relay to earth and deactivated the antennae on the ship, leaving most other systems unharmed. With no way of communicating to the planet, or landing on it, the pilot of the ship lived on the ship until he died of unknown causes, probably madness due to isolation. The ship simply outlived him with the self sufficient systems and the asteroid point defense. The pilot could not fix the antennae, but a engineer certainly can...

Without the communication relay the colony declared independence of the probably already long dead earth, and founded the Iron Empire, with the goal to venture to new planets and preparing themselves for the earths remnants attack to claim the resources, that were supposedly theirs.

I have decided to give youtube a shot and made a video for this ship. No real effort, so why not do it for every ship^^

    A transport for the Union:

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=821535242

    Lore:
These craft were built by the Union after the ore deposits near their native lakes were depleted, and they needed to transport Ice to the mines in the mountains, and ore back to the lakes, where the electrolyse plants are situated. Their heavy armour was needed to defend against the sabiroids that dwell in the grasslands, and occasional pirate raids.
