I don't really build many things good enough to show.. but I did make this video, I had drilled the cockpit of this small ship that was trying to attack me and it started spinning like crazy.... so I did what any Engineer would.

Currently being worked on in creative (at roughly 27,000 blocks so far), the C-1's Vespree Battleship is under construction. When I'm finished, it will be properly painted and illuminated. I doubt that I will have the time to complete the interior, but it will have the primary facilities (hangar, conveyor system, and other things).

Managed to do well enough with the curved look that the C-1 ships use. I won't go into much detail on the designs features yet until I flesh out a bit more. However, It turned out well from what I had drawn, but of course many specific features (shields and such) do no exist in SE and therefore have been reworked into more useful in-game functionalities.

Confused? well, it's pretty simple. Guns, Guns, and... more Guns. Everywhere that you can fit them. Though at present they are simple useless place-holders. There are approximately 12x3 main guns, 2x2 FLAIR Cannons ("Fire, Light, and Intense Radiation"... well, they'll be launching whatever I can get them to fire...), 2 TAK Ion Cannons (which will hopefully fire a wall of rocks...), And about 12 secondary cannons (or rocket launchers as it were). Plenty of AA too but I can fit that anywhere as I've left off several for aesthetic purposes.

Not sure how well the weapons will turn out, but the ship itself should be fully functional for survival. If, of course, anyone wants to spend the time and resources to try and build this behemoth.

Oh, and the two hydrogen thruster pods in the back are able to rotate. Design-wise, they are suppose to help the ship maneuver as well as accelerate/decelerate; but I've not tested them yet so they may just break off and go sailing into space.

Edit: Tested the rear thruster pods. They work flawlessly. When tested with only 20 rotors (<barely providing enough torque to get the thing to roll), the rear thruster pods allowed the thing to do a full 180 in under 10 seconds... eh, maybe 15 sec..

With proper scripts, these pods could single-handedly be used to maneuver the ship. Of course I will still be installing enough gyros to do the job; if not as effectively.

In addition: Added additional armor layers and interior floors, main hangar doors and layout have been setup. One specific design feature (that was never accounted for due to the game itself) is that of the main fighter hangar being "upside-down" as compared to the rest of the ship. Because of this, there is a transition room where you sit down and the platform rotates you to the correct alignment with the rest of the ship.

Current project under development - BBSX super-heavy battleship class. Primarily designed for killing capital ships or laying siege to space stations and orbital facilities. The overall "brick in space" style is reminiscent of ships like the Sulaco from Aliens, Marathon-class heavy cruiser from Halo and a number of ships from Homeworld.

    Some of the features:
    • Heavy armor (thickness classified)
    • Self-repairing critical systems
    • 12 MWI MK3 cannon
    • Twin Super MkV MAC turret with 315 degree traverse (does not elevate)
    • Duel-purpose Super MkV/Siege MAC (forward)
    • PMW Gravity torpedo launcher (forward)
    • Flight deck with side/well style airlocks capable of accommodating a variety of shuttles, dropships, drones and other craft.
    • Low signature ion drive (specially ducted to reduce visibility)
    • High tech CIC encased deep within the armored command citadel.
    • Distributed backup systems to allow weapons systems and other systems to continue to operate in the event of catastrophic damage.
    Remaining work:
    • Life support and gravity (many sections are still open to space for ease of construction)
    • Point defense systems
    • Flight deck facilities
    • Medical and living spaces
    • Interior and exterior detailing
    • Navigation lights
    • Escape pods, universal airlocks and other safety equipment
    • Update paint scheme to darker low-visibility blue

It's very early/late and I have a brief report to add...

While in the process of adding a interior sliding blast door for the larger hangar section (where the dropships are suppose to be), I made the ill-fated decision to use merge blocks to ensure that the door "sealed" correctly... I'm here to report that It did not!

After about one and a half hours of filling in stuff for the interior, creating additional rooms and layout plans; I don't know if I saved any of it. Either way, the previous glee that I felt from the testing of the rotating thruster pods is now just a footnote as I was awestruck with the ships newfound acceleration and maneuverability when the massive vessel accelerated so fast that I phased through the 4 to 5 walls that I had built.

In hindsight, Had I not have had "indestructible blocks" selected in the options menu, a simple explosion would have been all that I would have witnessed following my mistake... BUT! because the pistons and the merge blocks, and all of the cannons on rotors, and the large rotor-based hangar doors, AND the thruster pods are all "Inde- freakin- structible"... Every single one of them began to twist and distort (floating and spinning separately around the ship) as the ship went careening at warp speed into oblivion.

I gave chase, got slapped so hard by one of those floating guns that I went flying into an asteroid where I was momentarily lodged in it, and then watched as the thing just continued on it merry way to probably destroy a alien civilization somewhere. So now, as it is 7:30 in the morning and I've not yet gone to bed. I'm going to have to restart from my last save (wherever it was) and see how I can possibly work up the courage to attempt to fix that damnable sliding door.

Sorry, no images. I can't be bothered to fiddle with Imgur while on mobile.

    Scythe-class Multi-Gun Corvette
    Mass: 1,035,162
    Armament: 8 Gatling Turrets
    Crew: 0

The unusual shape of the Scythe was created mainly to ensure wide firing lines for its array of gatling turrets. The Scythe was designed to escort AADL’s other subcapital ships and destroyers to protect them against fighter attack, but cannot defend itself against capital ships.

    Warhammer-class Attack Craft
    Mass: 1,532,504 Kg
Armament: 2 Missile Turrets, one twin Missile Launcher turret
    Crew: 0

The Warhammer was built mainly to test a piece of technology from WMI, that being a turret slave code. The Warhammer uses this code to automate a large rotor turret, giving the ship a far heavier armament than most ships of its size. However, the Warhammer has no gatling defenses, and while heavily armored from the sides, the top and bottom are protected by a single layer of light armor.

If it's alright, I'd like some feedback on the two of these ships and the three from earlier: you people are far better at this than I am.

    IT IS... Incomplete!...
    But done.
I've reached the block limit at 50,710 (though the main body has only reached roughly 45,000 blocks).

As of now, the C-1's Vespree Battleship is in "workin" order. The guns are still placeholder though and will likely remain such for the foreseeable future until I can work out something functional. At least one of the two FLAIR cannons has been setup with a 'mock' functional weapon system, but the two Tak-ion cannons are merely there for visuals. In addition the loading/assembling mechanisms for the torpedo tubes are not setup. As it were, all of these can be completed separately and then installed via the rotors that they are attached to.

As of now, the ships numerous features include rotating thruster pods in the rear that support acceleration and maneuvering. Though I couldn't figure out a sufficient means of automatically controlling them, they serve their purpose well. This ship has just enough gyroscopes to allow you to direct the ship, but when utilized with the thruster pods, this thing can turn on a dime and rotate into position strikingly quickly. <though I doubt that is as fast as say... a gravity drive.

In addition, the ship has two separate hangars. One inverted fighter hangar bay and one dropship hangar bay. The fighter bay could have been a bit bigger (this is obviously not to scale as it should be), but the dropship hangar bay is large enough to house 4 med-sized dropship or 2 really large dropships. Also, these doors are automated as too are most of the other things around the ship. <though again I gave up on the thruster pods. I tried dammit.
The Top of the ship is heavily armored and well protected with layers of armor while still maintaining a very sufficient field of fire with 7 of its main guns and one FLAIR cannon capable of engaging a threat.

While the "Belly" of the ship sports the vast majority of the ships offensive power with 5 main guns, 2 ion cannons, 1 FLAIR cannon, and 16 'secondary' Anti-cruiser cannons. As well as the ships hangar bays.
There's way more to explore and look at and many things that can and could have been added, but I'm taking a prolonged break from this one for now. Enjoy it on the workshop if you want.

Some Technical Notes: I've found while setting up the ships dropship sliding blast door that it will only function (without blowing up) if one group of pistons move at a time. This involved setting up some timer blocks that unlocks the 1st set, waits for 20 seconds and then locks them again before starting the same sequence for the second. I hope that they function correctly with block damage enabled... and in hindsight I probably should have mentioned that...

Test 22. Failure is always an options.

But to be serious this code was not made for VTOL, it was made for orbital body using main body thrusters.
the rotational grav drive was a nice surprise.

Made a relatively affordable yet pretty polished full interplanetary fleet for 1/1/1 pvp survival. Also tested these quite a while on a server and kept polishing up to a point where I thought the fleet was worth showing off.

Some updates to the BBSX program:

Updated the paint scheme and most of the interior systems are in place.

View of the advanced CIC during a "simulated" combat exercise. Thanks to MMaster's LCD2 script, the monitors provide real-time (ish) feedback on system status (including damage), ammo counts and depressurized compartments. The entire ship can be operated by a single pilot from this room, surrounded by a thick armored citadel...which turns out is nearly useless against a similarly armed ship. :(
