    Hi guys :)
    I've stumbled across a website that allows you to type in a string of text which is then generated into a 3D model of a spaceship based on your text :D The website offers a 3D model printing service for $49 if you particularly like the look of one. You can also download your model for free as a VRML (.WRL) file.

    Check it out and comment your 'inputs'.

    For the community, here is mine:

    I look forward to everyone's creations :)

    Certainly an interesting tool.

    @Hatter

    I knew it would be a matter of time, haha :p

    @sandtrooper

    I'm sure that is it's purpose. Perhaps it is so random it may spark some inspiration of a shape we hadn't thought of yet...
    Try using a combination of numbers, symbols, upper/lower case for different results :)

    yeah, that's my intention to prove that "things" appear, but my purpose in the game is to find a design as efficient as possible but in this website is not

    Insane results with symbols only. Some practical, many, not so much. But kinda fun to roll the dice.

    Actually makes a pretty decent looking fighter ship!

    Also, Vermillion...could you teach me the magic of link encoding, so I can rename my links without it being the whole address?

    Forgot to mention, I imported these models into C4D and then into the game, they look kinda alright but kinda dodgy.
    I had to mess around with the shapes on the model in C4D

    I'm having the issue of the model being offset (kinda of twisted and tilting.)
    I can Try to rotate it into the right position , but its always off by some degree
    and it really showns when the ship is imported with the ship being all offset.

    I'm also using C4D have anny idea on a fix? :confused:

    Pretty cool ship ^^

    An easy way to link is simply type a word, select the word, click on "link" in the menu^ and insert the URL the word should link to.

    Ok, first off, my own: The Long Hammer

    Then...

    It's spelled phOEnix

    And last but not least...

    I see your almost-full-alphabet ship and raise you a FULL alphabet ship.

    Edit:

    I'm surprised no one else has done this yet. Shapewright's take on the Enterprise.
