is there a finite limit on the flow through of materials on conveyors?

i have been testing a shipyard and i am finding that there are missed blocks for no apparant reason. the station has lots of materials and a bunch of assemblers running as well.

There is no limit to how much material can flow through a conveyor at once. However, when it comes to pull requests from connectors, conveyor sorters, refineries, etc. those have limits to how many liters of inventory can be automatically pulled for each block doing the pulling. Each block has its own limit per second.
