Unfinished blocks have same mass as finished blocks. For example unwelded large ship light armor block have 1 steel plate but its mass is same as finished block which has 25 steel plates. Sometimes I use unwelded or halfwelded blocks and I want them have less mass than fully welded blocks.

Would you consider implementing this suggestion to the game?

Are you asking the devs, us, or yourself?

Personally I think it's the way it should work because the mass is in the parts, so if the parts aren't on the block the mass shouldn't be either.

Seems like a thing that should have been added a while ago.

could of sworn i saw someone saying blocks weight should be equal to the parts added to it so far.

....build a light armor block with 1 steel plate...it should weight one steel plate. because it still needs the 24 to finish it.
....build a light armor block with 25 steel plates then wield it 1% should have the full weight because the parts are sitting in the block it just needs to be wielded.

then again...those were words and not an update.
a nice thought but how many ever get in?
