    Summary
Hello, Engineers! This week we've improved catch blocks. They now always place with their middle part. You can also pick them up by the middle part. Palisades have been updated so that you can no longer create upside-down buildings by accident. Also, we've improved fast travel spawning so that you won't spend as much time falling down mountains.

    Featured Improvements
    - Environment items are deleted properly when modifying voxels.
    - Catch blocks now place with their middle piece.
    - Palisades are now always right-side-up.

    Fixes
    - Fixed crafting getting stuck when the screen was closed while having multiple blueprints queued.
    - Fixed crafting instantly completing the last item when the screen was closed.
    - Improved fast travel destinations. No more traveling to mountain tops.
    - Fixed a discrepancy between flags cost in crafting table and G screen.
    - Fixed mining the soil not removing existing environment items.
    - Fixed rebuilding broken blocks that are on the voxels.
    - Fixed placement of small grids directly on voxels.
    - Fixed missing middle part of catch blocks.
    - Fixed column generation for spiral stairs.
    - Fixed dead plants never being removed.
    - Fixed soil never becoming exhausted.
    - Fixed unable to pick up rope end.
    - Fixed quest crashes.

Mechanical blocks are gonna take a while longer I'm afraid. We're still wrapping up the design and working on the core systems that are necessary to support it. I'm gonna write something about it some time in the near future, but I'm at the gdc right now, so it'll have to wait until I get back. :)

Unfortunately, unattended crafting is still not a thing.
It just clears the queue when you exit. We'll implement proper unattended crafting in the future. Don't worry, we want it too.

The quick and helpful developer responses are awesome. Even if you have to get on here and say "No, we can't do that, sorry", it's SO much better than silence. Thank you!!

Please walk across the hallway and slap your Space Engineer brethren and then teach them.

Yes, they are great. But I want to assume that also for the brothers "across the hallway". Remember, it is one family. One company with one corps spirit. Or as I like to say in fun: one Holy undevided Church of Engineers. :tu:
We have the advantage of a smaller community here, with not so many troubleseekers. So that makes the interaction tone generally more friendly.

Please don't draw a contrasting picture of 'good guys here' - 'bad guys there'. Space Engineer staff is also envolved in dialogue with the audience and they help where they can or see fit. Nobody knows better than me.
They respond to questions and issues, too. But it is not necessary nor good for the nerves to react to all complaining and nagging, because that is what's happening all too often.
When there is a decision to be taken, either vastly interacting with a very work-intensive community with a million problems created by individual reasons, or working on the game and hunting bugs, the latter is the better choice.

    *stares at ME*
    full of rainbows and wonder.

    *stares at SE*
another planetary lander crash landing ether blinded by the solar lens flare or depleted batteries.

oh well SE needs some more time.
need a more powerful pc for ME though...

The batteries on survival landers are not intended to run out quickly? I hope they do not fix that one too soon. I like that you have to use it as a lander not "fly-around-for-the-ideal-location"-er. :)
