    Summary
Hello, Engineers! This week we're bringing you several small grid stockpile blocks. The log and timber stockpiles now have small grid versions, and they even have mountpoints on the top for crane attachment! Additionally, there is now a small stone/iron ore dedicated stockpile. Don't try to cheat any trades by filling it with stone ores at the bottom! ;)
Additionally, we reveal another feature in our upcoming major release: the Shovel! Finally, you will be able to flatten land by digging up soil and then filling it, raising the voxels.

    Features
    - Added "Small stockpile for Logs"
    - Added "Small stockpile for Timbers"
    - Added "Small stockpile for Ores"

P.S. You can switch to last week's build by switching to the last_week branch. No longer will you be stuck in "My server hasn't updated yet!" limbo! :D

    Update:
    - Added large stones back to the chests. They were blocked by accident.

    Update 2:

    - Fixed worlds not loading correctly, it should be fine now.

I hope they thought good about this adding terrain feature. There are a lot of "issues" concerning claim blocks and enemies.

But from what I have seen it might not be possible to make a cave? or even high walls made of dirt.

Yeah, we are aware of some exploits concerning claimblocks, especially with regards to the claim blocks, and decided that for now we're not going to address it immediately.
We have a really good solution planned for solving some of them, that will make shoveling claim blocks into sand not only pointless, but even undesirable, instead of trying to solve it somehow by preventing you to shovel. :)
For now, it'll fall on admins to admin their servers; I don't think it'll be a huge problem for now, and we'll definitely address this issue.

Ooooh, back to designing more Carts and Wagons!!!

Nice update, and love the shovel! It'd save some minor annoyances in making gates accessible :D

Feedback edit: (to me) a major point of unfortunate modelling on the small stockpile blocks is that they are an odd width.
This means these blocks will ALWAYS look out of place on a wagon with a steerable front-axle (needs to be even width due to catch-blocks being 2 wide). Which is pretty much the only way to build wagons in my opinion, and I had hoped to eventually see them work when mechanics get properly introduced. And this seems to point in the wrong direction. :(

Is there any advantage to having odd-width stockpile blocks actually? Maybe single attachment point cranes... but meh. I'd rather string them up with four ropes than having them look weird on steering wagons.

I dislike building wagons with 4 fixed wheels, they break immersion big time.

    Hobbit holes confirmed...

    Can't wait.

Actually, will grass "grow" on top of placed dirt or...?

    thats a really good question.
reminds me of the days of building underground minecraft bases....using a block of dirt grass would grow over to hide the deep underground base. :3

I think Minecraft did it via exposure to the sky?

I suppose it could use a similar system to solars in SE, except when it changes to "grass" it stops performing the checks or after a timeout. If it gets lower exposure maybe it stays dirt?

if i remember exactly it was based on light level.

a player could cause grass to grow downwards into a cave if there was enough torch light and dirt connected to grass.
but yeah 100% have it timeout after a while. :p
don't want necessary scripts running not matter how small their load maybe.

hmm...maybe they could just make it work like throwing grass seeds on dirt?

    Now there's a better idea.

The Minecraft idea just came from the fact the landscape "regenerated" itself; so craters from a sneaky creeper eventually just became part of the landscape organically with grass and such.

Nice, I'm always confused what small and large grids are, but I understand these small ones are for transport purposes mainly. ;-)

And a shovel in the foreseeable future, finally a level courtyard in my castle. lol

    Wow, that's many mods! :D
Can you try loading the world without any mods, to see if it loads? I want to make sure it's not one of the mods causing the problem.
