    Summary
Bug fixing and improvements continues this week. We have added support for custom skyboxes in DX11! The window transparency from both sides in DX11 has been fixed as well. This will help modded windows to be rendered properly.
Additionally, a new tutorial has been added this week that focuses on grids and merge blocks. This will help illuminate the nature of small, large and station grids, the rules that govern them and how you can join them together with the merge block. There is also a brief section on floating objects and we have also featured a community creation inside this tutorial, the ship "HomeCarrier" by KillYaSoon. The tutorial is in response to a request from the community made on our feedback forum.
Our focus is currently on performance issues - more improvements will follow in the next weeks.

    Features
    - added Tutorial #10 - Grids, Merge Blocks & Objects (thanks KillYaSoon for HomeCarrier ship)

    Fixes
    - added support for skyboxes on DX11
    - fixed ship welders, grinders and drills being too brittle
    - fixed window transparency from both sides in DX11
    - fixed version info not switching pages
    - fixed the LCD panel issue being reset when painted
    - fixed issue with programmable block not mirroring correctly
    - changed the order of the buttons in the "new world" menu

    EDIT 09/11/15:
    Update 01.099.010

    - fixed crash when jumping with ship

Hooray for more bugfixing. Although... I didn't realize the two-way window thing was a bug. I liked being able to see from both directions... Oh well.

And I thought I was just being too rough with my drill ships lately! Yay, no more easily exploding drill heads when you're 50km away from home base!

Always thought the window transparency in dx11 was intended...
    I liked it though.

    Woohoo!

No word about deformation being fixed, but there was no word about it being changed in the first place.

Well looking good devs keep it up. Thank god for that window DX11 thing it was bugging the hell out of me. No explodium in my world but then again I never seem to suffer this bug. Continuing with massive hangar door as we speak :munch:

Can you test grinders/welders and drills impacts?

Please can you make it so that there is a way to control thrusters through rotors because there isn't a mod and I want to be able to turn my engine pods for landing like a VTOL but I want to be able to control it like any other normal part of the ship

Yeah, it would be nice if the change log was the actual change log, rather than a summary of a couple things that changed.

Funny how people have to show their excitement or disappointment (or boredom) over bux fixes. LOL. I will say that on the server I play, there have been many who have experessed a major concern over the fragile drills and such. This will hopefully enable people to spend more time playing rather than having to resort to major repairs and designing all their work ships like bricks.

    - fixed ship welders, grinders and drills being too brittle

just welders, grinders and drills?? really? what about exploding merge blocks and connectors? tuning their force at least and making them not to explode when releasing a ship? well.. stop hating, I can't wait to test this.. hopefully our server will update soon.. :)

What do you expect??? That thing is way too large. Unreasonably so. Unless I'm mistaken (which I well may be) you're hitting upon Havok's limits. Keen can't do anything about that.

So tested out a quick welder/grinder/driller ship no worries. Still as before. No exploding things or blocks or asteroids. I don't see this issue people have had since the last 2 updates. (That's creative and survival btw) This new door used 4 rotors too.

CDNR, that is ridiculous, and that's rich coming from some of my builds. This people is why I build replicas of Babylon 5 ships at 23%. Learn from others!

(Shrug) what makes it a milestone version? A version number is just that, a number. Nothing more, nothing less. There are no rules as to what are "milestone versions". Each developer decides that for themselves. As likely as anything, next version will be 1.100 - and more bug fixes. Better to expect that than hyping yourselves up and get disappointed :)
