Update 01.100 - Drones, Pirate bases, Bugfixes and Planetary teaser *Updated 09/18/15*

    Summary
    This week’s update is a bit more special compared to the previous ones since it is the 100th update that we have released since launch! For this reason, we have prepared something more special for you :)
    Enemy drones have been added to the game. The drones will appear in Survival worlds (both new and old) and they will spawn automatically from pirate stations. When a player ventures into the pirate territory, he will be attacked by the drones. The pirate stations have bounty hidden inside their containers that players can loot if they get over the drone attacks. We have also added modding support for everyone to create their own drones and pirate bases.
    In addition, the autopilot has been improved. Auto-piloted ships can now evade asteroids and ships without crashing into them.
    Lastly, we would like to share a few development details with you. The majority of our latest fixes, improvements and features are leading towards the planets release. Things are looking very promising so far! Until then, you can get a brief idea of how planets look like from the early development screenshots below.

    - fixed crash when activating ship grinder
    - fixed projections acting as solid objects in some situations
    - fixed autopilot switching off sometimes
    - fixed no explosion sounds when detonating warheads
    - fixed correct icons for dedicated server screens
    - fixed jump drive crash
    - fixed warheads are not damaging voxels properly
    - fixed terminal turning off when switching between cameras
    - fixed spotlights performance

    EDIT 09/18/15:
    Update 01.100.024

    - Pirate bases will no longer spawn close to starting position
    - decreased overall chance of Pirate Base spawn
    - Informant now seeks players
    - added weaker light drone station
    - added light drone "Assailant"
    - changed spawn range of Raiding Stations to 10 km (should be less likely to appear )
    - drones will now follow you up to 20 km from their base, then they go back
    - added ammunition to the starting scenarios and respawn ships
    - added Rifle as a basic tool after character's respawn
    - drones will now flee back to their base if they run out of ammo or loose all weapons
    - all Cargo Ships will now call for backup when attacked - Civilian ships will be defended less than military
    - improvements to collision avoidance

    EDIT: That is freakin' EPIC! It was well worth the wait. Thank you Dev's for staying late and making this update happen. It wasn't planets, but it is still HUGE!

    Well, that's definitely hilarious. Even just the forum 'madness' is a nice touch for 100, but I guess I don't know enough internet because WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!?! HAVE I BEEN INFECTED?!? RUNNNING ALL THE SCANNERRSS.

    Epic update. Was waiting for this feature for the autopilot. This changes many things and adds tons of possibility. Pirate bases and drones will make survival worlds so much more fun too :D
    Nice to see some update on the planets as well. Although, it may be just my opinion, everything on the planets looks great so far but i personally would prefer if gravity affected ships more, cause right now it seems that any regular ship can go in and out of atmosphere and even float around without much effort. Maybe not everyone would agree, but such change would make us create new designs for ships that are specifically designed to be able to go in and out of the planetary gravity range and would also make ground vehicles more useful, which i think is kind of nice :D It would also make the jetpack unusable on planets tho and i don't know if everyone would like that too :D

    Anyway, great job as usual guys! :)

    YES!!! Great update guys. The pirate bases and drones is super cool and is a scenario me and my building partner have spent a lot of time building and setting up our own versions of. Love it!
