    Summary
This week's update is all about loot. When you destroy any container, a loot bag will spawn with all the precious materials and items inside it. By applying this little change, you don't have to play "catch me if you can" with the items dropped all around the place; they will now be conveniently stored in a bag. The loot bag will disappear after 30 minutes of real time.
You cannot manipulate the loot bag, take it with you or save it for later. So it is up to you what you pick and what you leave behind.
We also fixed issues with crafting in multiplayer and disappearing items on dedicated servers.

    Features
    - Inventory loot bags

    Fixes
    - fixed inventory not copying with chest
    - fixed items disappearing after you picked them up on DS
    - fixed a DS server crash
    - fixed reconnecting to castle seige
    - fixed fracture crashes
    - fixed crafting issues in MP
    - removed accelerating checkbox from ME master
    - fixed crash after you placed the official trebuchet
    - fixed loot bag weight
    - fixed crash after exiting the world and saving
    - disabled the manipulation of lootbag

    HOTFIX 02_046_010:
    - Fixing problem on DS that caused appearance of ghost blocks (e.g. when you are making scrapwood from log)
    - Fixing crash in gui screen servers
    - Fixed problem with dead barbararians having inventory AND a bag
    - Fixed several crashes in MP replication

    AWESOME!

    About ME:

Imagine when you guys implement a tool to creat merchants, imagine the huge MMO servers that may be created?

    About SE:

By the way, you guys think a loot bag version for SE would be interesting?

Like when grinding a cargo Container, a small "Loot Container" culd spawn with the stuff inside?

Very nice update. But how about a fix for the compound building? :x Barely any combinations work anymore...[IMG]
Example above: The roof can't be finished because the pillars can't be in the same block anymore.
Example 2: Gothic arches like you can see in the pre-update building on the far left are not possible anymore as demonstrated either.

Nice update, although I slightly prefer the old system.

    I agree with Feanor.
Nice little feature, but we need that compound building. I think the new system is cool, but you could have kept the old system, too(like Compound key switches inbetween: Yes, No, Auto).
I wouldn't say nothing works but it is annoying to see that you cannot place the handrail on a staircase anymore.

This will all get fixed, I'm sure. The compound building change is simply the start of making a proper, robust building system.

But in the meantime we are stuck with a limited and (in my opinion) broken system. At least keep the old system in place (perhaps optionally like Dalmanos said) while working on something better.

Or you just don't drive the card the same way while it is mid-upgrade. Early access doesn't mean playable game. It only means access to current state.

For the gothic arches thing... that obviously means we need blocks that support that sort of arch rather than overlapping huge amounts of stone (wasted resources a physical nonsense) to hack that shape in. You are thinking backwards about this. You should be asking for smaller blocks that allow more compound block shapes without doing it in a glitchy way.

I absolutely agree with you there. Placing all these blocks together is a huge strain on performance that could easily be avoided by adding these kind of things as single blocks. But a lot will have to be added.

I agree, but don't worry, I am sure they will fix it very soon as you brought it to their attention. ^^

Performance and generally gameplay wise a good update. But... the loot bag is about the size of the engineer's head! Obvious Bag of Holding jokes aside, maybe the physical size of the bag could scale by how much stuff it contains?

I still think you're doing the whole Inventory thing the wrong way, Keen...

The original system, when 'Survival' first came to ME, was that materials in the world were used to build with. If you wanted to build, say, a wooden shack, you'd have to cut down a tree and fill a cart with lumber. You'd take that cart full of lumber to the building site, and start building. It made more sense and was more aesthetically pleasing. The only downside was that when constructing large (and I mean large) projects, there could be quite a tax on performance.

The day I saw a Space Engineers-alike system in a Medieval Engineers update, my heart sank.
