1. Hello Guest!
Welcome to the Bug Report forum, please make sure you search for your problem before posting here. If you post a duplicate (that you post the same issue while other people have already done that before) you will be given a warning point which can eventually lead into account limitations !

Here you can find a guide on how to post a good bug report thread.

    Reproduction Rate: 100%
    Version: Release (1.186.500)
    Reproduction Steps:
    1. Spawn centrifuge test (workshop link below .gif)
    2. Go to either of the platforms at the far ends.
    3. Stand in front of the button panel with your magboots turned on.
    4. Press button 1 to start the centrifuge.
Observed Behavior: Character's angle sharply adjusts about 2-3 times per second, creating an almost nauseating effect. Additionally, the player slowly 'slides' sideways, going a little further with each angle adjustment. In the gif below, the sharp adjustments and a leftward slide can be observed.

    Workshop Link: Centrifuge test

Expected Behavior: Character's angle should be updated smoothly and sliding should not occur.

System Information: Windows 7 (64 bit), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980, Intel i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 16 GB RAM

Additional Information: I discovered this bug while trying to build a rotating wheel space station to produce artificial gravity through centrifugal effects rather than using the built-in artificial gravity blocks. The provided workshop link is a small-scale test platform to demonstrate the effects I noticed.

Note that the rate of sharp adjustments increases with increasing rotational speed, suggesting there's a threshold for the suit to adjust its position. The adjustment rate is almost smooth when the centrifuge is maxed out at 30 rpm. If you tighten the adjustment threshold by about 60-100x, I suspect the adjustment rate will likely increase enough to make any rotation speed appear smooth.

Additionally, I suspect that the sliding effect occurs because you're rotating the player around their center of mass rather than around their feet. Note that the sliding occurs in the direction the centrifuge is rotating, acting opposite to what would be expected of inertia. If you change the rotation axis to center at their feet, I suspect the sliding/inverse inertial effect will go away.

    Where any testers?

If you're asking about where you can get a build to test this, I've included it above in the Centrifuge test link.

We already noticed this as well. It is reported and will be fixed. It is not being worked on right now but we still hope to fix it until next release.

    Thanks!
