    Hey guys!
I'm looking for a mod, wich includes a function to disable the oxygen production in a oxygen generator.
The reason: I want to fill up my hydrogen tanks without filling the O2 tanks but I don't wan't to turn off the O2 tanks. Already searched the forum, redit, workshop, etc.

    Please advise

could always cut the oxygen generators connection to the oxygen tanks.

    NO WAIT!
turn off the oxygen tank. :D then turn it on when you need it.

realistically you'd be wasting oxygen since as im sure space engineers and basic cheminstry/biology science has taught us all
ice is water in the frozen state
water is made up of h20 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen
so the oxygen generator splits those two gases but where does oxygen go if it has no tank to go to?

but yeah you could just turn off the tanks if you want only one to get filled up.

I don't want to turn the O2 tanks off due to depressurize airlocks

Is there a reason you don't want to fill the O2 tanks? Once the tanks are full, O2 production should stop anyway. Unless they've changed the mechanic, it's a pull-request. If the O2 tanks aren't calling for O2, O2 won't be produced. I don't quite understand the dilemma.

The dilemma is, all my capital ships run with hydrogen thruster and I would like to run the O2 generators constantly so the hydro tanks get filled up. But I also want the opportunity to pressurize and depressurize room. You can't depressurize rooms when the O2 tanks are filled.
My idea is to fill the O2 tanks about 75%, so i can pressurize and depressurize room, without any O2 get lost due to 100% filled O2 tanks. To reach this it's necceassary to shut off the o" generators but then I can't fill my hydro tanks.

    Okay, several things.
First, set up a single oxygen generator that handles all your oxygen tanks and pressurization on a separate conveyor system from the horde of generators and hydrogen tanks. You will have to manually move ice into the oxygen system (or set up a connector junction to allow pulling when necessary), but you will roughly get what you want.
    2) If you don't like that idea, I think BARABAS or similar scripts allow you to control the level of oxygen put into tanks, and you can use those.

Use some engineering skills to solve the problem, way easier than having to write a mod.

alright then what about filling the tank to 90% then cutting off its connection to an oxygen generator.

It'll take far to long for an engineer to every use up all that oxygen
just like a serious serious long time.
the wiki says a large full oxygen tank can give an engineer 441 gameplay hours of breathing.
    https://spaceengineerswiki.com/Oxygen
and even if he needs it simply rebuild the convaryer tube so oxygen can be created.

thats just my way of doing things I'd rather have something simple stupid and disposable than spending time and effort making or locating a script to do it for me.

Scripts and programs are awesome but if i can make due without i'd be happier without it.
Especially since each update can potentially break it

You could use the method I use for airlock design. Each air lock has two sets of vents.

One set connects to the normal oxygen generator and tanks system. This is used when the airlocks are at pressure.
The second set of vents at connected to oxygen tanks only. This set of tanks is not connected to anything else and is used to store oxygen when the airlock is depressurised.

With this system there is no need to disconnect any tanks for the oxygen generators as the storage tanks are never connected.

I really appreciate all of you guys for the replies! The ship, what it's all about, is a very compact and well engineered desgin and I don't have the oppurtunity to rebuild the whole conveyor system to build seperate oxygen-system. Thats the reason I'm looking for such a mod or a easy script.
Maybe I will upload this ship to the workshop, not sure yet.

you cannot disable oxygen for some generators.
you can make mod which will separate generators(one oxygen, and one for hydrogen).

Yeah, this is the kind of mod I'm looking for.

so like, i have a similar issue. i wanted my O2/H2 Generator to be connected to the main conveyor system to be able to gather ICE from the main Cargo Container.
but i don't want my O2/H2 Generator to convert ICE into oxygen as i have my Oxygen farms and Tank for that.i just wanted it to focus on refilling my bottles and provide Hydrogen to my Medical Room.

so what i am planning to do is make use of the Conveyor Sorter. there is no "Oxygen" type filter only "Oxygen bottles".
so im hoping making the connection from the main Conveyor system to my O2/H2 a one way path will ensure that my O2/H2 generator wont make oxygen it cant deliver but can drag in ICE from the Conveyor system.

    Large Cargo Container <---> Conveyors <---> Conveyor Sorter ( ---> only ) O2/H2 Generator <---> Medical Room.

    Wish me luck

I guess I dont understand the initial problem.

If you want to depressurize and airlock, but cannot because the annoying o2 tanks are full all the time... psh. Open the airlock and goto work, vent the o2. It was extra anyhow.

Going through torturous measures to try to reclaim/keep that gas, without adding extra conveyors/tanks... or to throttle o2 tank to 90% all the time... just sounds like self generated problems.

"This week on Hoarders: Space Engineers..." :D

Also, dont be an "oxygenist" Ice is H2O How dare you want to extract the H, but exclude the O!? where is it supposed to go, exactly?

I have no issues with depressurize airlocks. my airlock system is automated without scripts. did you mean the original poster ?

my issue is ( as i explained above ) with my O2/ H2 Generator consuming ICE to generate O2 ... i don't want it to generate O2 i want to use ICE to generate H2. this is because i already have enough Oxygen Farms to keep my station pressurized.
i think i also have an issue with fellow players like yourself. i mean i'm starting to take notice of you stalking people's post and being rude to them, what is wrong with people asking for help in the forum ?
if you feel like its not worth your time then don't help but why brand people "This week on Hoarders: Space Engineers..." :D ???

so what i wanted to do is for my O2 / H2 Generator to gather ICE from the conveyor system, but don't use the ice to make Oxygen, i have Oxygen Farms for that. just use ICE ready for when im out of Hydrogen and needed a refill.
i also want to use ICE later for powering Hydrogen thrusters and generators.
