Deadspace style hardsuits ?

    Anyone interested in making dead space based suit mod. i personally think this style of suit fits the engineering and asteroid mining setting far better than the puffy technicolor NASA suits.

    to be honest in a game about engineering in space i am kinda shocked noone has already tried to pull off the Isaac Clark look before. also in a game about mining and engineering in space the default space suits really should have more armor on it if for no other reason than to provide better tear protection when working with sharp tools and metal edges

    i assume it is since we already have a zombie skin on the forums so it is obvious that you can import entire models as well as skin textures

    Most likely replaceable. Hit box would probably have to stay the same out of fairness for those that cared. The original rig would have to be weighted to the model as well. So might be tricky. This is the case in some games at least, especially in order to respect gestures.

    It's not so easy to do. The Marek Rosa discusses this a bit in his interview with Xocliw... something to do with bones... and, yes, weighting. There's still some work to be done to make character modding easier. My first attempt at the basic character with a slightly different helmet failed... and that was just altering the helmet.
