@RayvenQ I'm sorry if I hurt you (my english very bad), I didn't want to say that only moderators don't work, but there was no "Forum Informativity" point, and there is the question. If I want to get some information about game, especially bugs and issues, I go to official game forum in hope that I'll get answers there, but I can't get it as often as it should be.

 

As a registered user I'm practically newborn, but I've been stalking in the corner for over 1.5 years, so I've seen how stuff goes here...

Comment: I can't really answer this because I never bothered to ask mods for support. Not that I don't think they can provide... It just never came up.

Comment: I won't name the person but some of the mods can get carried away. They do need to be more neutral and not setting down examples because it would only create more drama otherwise. Basically, just do the job and don't get into it.

Comment: There are times where I'm not even sure what they're up to. They do need to test their changes on a separate server before it could spin out of control, even though they do fix things quickly enough.

Comment: Too many kids posting their untested opinions about game development with almost no education on the subject. It can get annoying real fast. I'm already tired of explaining how general development works and the common "this is alpha" sort of answers. It's quite clear that most people aren't "alpha/beta testing" material.

Comment: I give 1 because i can't give a big zero, let's be honest a simple "Hi, i will check that out. Thank you for report." its not enough sometimes, i say this based on what i saw in a few Threads, what a mean is: sometimes, share some information with us of what's going on is healthy for everyone, lets take this as a example: https://forum.keenswh.com/threads/01_098_009-friday-hotfix-has-killed-game-physics.7367115/ we suffer for a week with the problem, and the support only reply after another dev call him in the thread, im not complaining about the bug, i know that happening some times, am complaining about the treatment by the support, not giving us any information about the problem and leaves in the dark for days, and i saw this same behavior in other topics, im not asking for a magic e immediately solution, im ask just for information.
Well, its my opinion and for me this point makes me lose all confidence in the support for bugs from the forum.

@Diegor34 I think you and some others are confusing "Forum Moderator/Administrator" with "Keen Employee"

Phand is a Keen SWH employee, DarkGhost is a forum moderator, Drui is a Keen SWH developer, DrVagax is a forum administrator, just to give an example.

There's forum support and there's game support, I believe they are asking for forum-related stuff here, unrelated to the game and only related to the use and enjoyment of the forums.

 

@Dreokor. Yep, and im talking about "forum-related stuff" i believe you are who do not properly understand the post, the way they respond to us, is related directly to the forum, as i said, i'm not complaining about a "problem" or something in the game, but how we are answered in the forum when we posting/report/ask something.

 

Phand, the person who handles the bug report section is not a moderator, nor administrator. The field says "Moderator Support", not "Game Support", no one who is part of the development team is a moderator or administrator of the forums. What you put in that space is your problems with how long the developers take to fix bugs, that's fine I have no problems with that except that the forum administrator (DrVagax) is asking for feedback of the forum, the forum moderators and administrator who are not related to KeenSWH's development team and thus unrelated to the game's development and problems/bugs. They only handle the forums and seem to want only feedback on forums and the moderation team.

Comment: - The navigation buttons overlap horribly on mobile, making it difficult to click the numbered page navigators or the Next> button without clicking the QuickNav button or the forum identifiers. This is my biggest concern, and the primary reason I am responding to the poll. Navigating the forums on Mobile is not fun and I feel that the user interface should be either scaled smaller or streamlined significantly.

Comment: - As with any games forum, there is a plethora of opinions present. I appreciate that the majority of the userbase is polite and civil. I do find it disappointing that there are personal attacks and hostile words, but I understand that, relative to other game communities, this one is relatively tame.

Comment: About that... yeah. Many nice people who really contribute get hoarded over by people who want to correct everything and who just want to argue. Critisism is ok, but it's an art on its own. Don't throw dirt and bad words at others. Critisise with respect.

Comment: I have almost never been given support for complaints. The most interaction I've had from a moderator when filing a complaint was when he lowered himself to my level and engaged in a shouting match, instead of being a moderator. There is also no appeals system if a user thinks a moderator has acted in a manner unbecoming of someone who is supposed to be enforcing behavioral standards.

Comment: Moderator response is inconsistent. Severe actions often go unpunished while lighter actions are punished harshly. Moderators do not use tools made available to them. Moderators will promise or threaten to take action and then do nothing. Moderators do not enforce rules to any universal standard, and have been observed acting just as poorly as the people they're supposed to be taking action against.

Comment: I've seen worse, but I've seen much better, and the mods are part of the problem.

I think it's noteworthy that the best moderators seem to be paid KSH staff. Phand has done a fantastic job not just managing the bug report forums but also moderating in them when it becomes appropriate. DarkGhost, on the other hand, is the worst moderator I have ever seen by far, including myself(yes, I have been a forum mod in the past), and I'm a bad enough moderator that even I am able to see it.

Little suggestion for the bug report section (the one I used the most), would be to create a 'Proper reports' subforum. Users can't post in there, but mods move there the reports that properly states game version, how to reproduce, screenshots/vids, etc. Then the right people can look there and get the proper report first, then maybe the others.
OR, the oher way around, add 'Improper reports' where mods would put threads that aren't of much help due to their incompleteness/duplicates.

Reason for this is that, I stopped making reports due to the fact that reports were being buried too fast with other post that were either duplicated, incomplete, or just a player who doesn't know the game in deep. At least before I could get an acknowledgement from Phand from time to time, but now seems like a waste of time.

the spoiler and quote -tags visibility is a bit "big/clunky" and have a graphical issue where the "toggle" are not shown ;-)
(only if mouse hovered - i guess for someone new this would be an issue to identify the spoiler as such ;-)
edit:
theres also much wasted space at the line of the "Keen SWH" logo ;-)
(you could include the "main bar" and "search section" in this line - im atm at a 17" laptop and it would fit there because of the wasted space on that bar too - im sure it would fit on my 19" laptop aswell! ^^)

Comment: had an issue where a moderator exclude me from the steamcommunity forums because of a DELETED topic, named CLEARLY "TEST"!
where i needed to test if i can still post after an ugly steamupdate that prevents me to comment!
the reason he gave was "spam" - well, i deleted that thread, so that was an ugly behavior/reaction! :-/
but at least this was solved fast after i message the moderators here
