freeze after load or create a game

    The game completely freezes after creating a world, music continues.
    I end it then always with taskmanager, in this I can see the cpu utilization is at 0%.

    New installation already tried

    Space engineers and medieval engineers in version (0.5.23) run

    System:
    cpu: core 2 Q9550
    ram: ddr2 8Gb
    gpu: gtx 470
    win 7 64bit

    It took some digging to find but this is a very old problem that shows when Cone.mwm causes an error. The issue is that this relies on a shader and if the shader has errors it freezes or crashes the game. The complicated part is that shaders rely on a few things. There is graphics drivers, DirectX and the game. I think in this case it is usually a bad file in DirectX but that requires some manual repairs but you should check everything.

    First, verify your game files
    • In your steam library right click on the game and click properties.
    • Go to the LOCAL FILES tab and click the VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES... button

    Second, clean driver install
    If you have tried to install from GeForce Experience the drivers will not be saved in a convenient place. We recommend downloading from https://www.geforce.com/Drivers using the manual search and running the .exe file to extract the files. Exit the installation when you reach the license agreement page.
    Reboot - this is important
    • Open the NVIDIA file store at C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\{VersionNumber}\{WindowsVersion}\International
    • Right click on setup.exe and choose Run as administrator
    • Click Yes on the UAC prompt
    • Choose Custom (Advanced)
    • Check the clean installation box
    • Ensure that you are able to open the NVIDIA control panel and NVIDIA geforce experience applications (if these applications won't open it indicates a failure of the installer)

    Third, DirectX Fix
    • Download DirectX: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8109
    • Run it to extract the files to a convenient folder
    • Open the folder to find two files: Jun2010_D3DCompiler_43_x64.cab and Jun2010_D3DCompiler_43_x86.cab
    • Extract the contents of these files (each to its own folder because the files have the same names) using a compatible archive program (winrar, 7zip, etc). Each of these will contain a copy of D3DCompiler_43.dll
    • Find and replace C:\Windows\System32\d3dcompiler_43.dll with the x86 copy, and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\d3dcompiler_43.dll with the x64 copy.

    Finally, Recreate the shaders by deleting the cache.
    • Press Windows Key + R
    • Enter %appdata%\MedievalEngineers into the box and click OK
    • Delete the folder called ShaderCache2 (You can also delete the ShaderCache folder if it is there)

    Please let me know if it works. If it doesn't then I will have to do some research.
