Fun little App for designing Space Engineers ships

Came across this little app during my lunch break at work today.

Worked very nicely for designing some ships for Space Engineers (provided you remember the measurements of the different blocks in the game anyways).

Basically designed the whole cargo ship I wanted. Now I have the design. All I need to do is piece it together after I had something to eat.

Figured I'd share it since there might be other that would enjoy putting something together while commuting to work, while having a lunch break or otherwise having a moment to spare but not being at the computer at home

 

Looks like a iPad version of ai.

 

No idea what ai is...

Anyways, using the grid-snap and grid-paper on that app made it very easy to draw up a ship and see how everything fits before you weld anything together.

Heres a little ship I threw together. It has cargo containers attached to arms that swing out using a rotor.

Here's a medium sized Multi-purpose Cruiser I designed using the same app.
The goal is small/ medium crew, well armored, home-base ship that does not expose weak points to the outside observer.
Essential systems are designed to be deep within the core of the ship, padded by non-essentials.

It'll carry 4-8 combat/Utility crafts in the side hangers and an assortment of mining equipment in the front.
Forward and broadside Magnetic Gun Batteries and Heavy Missile Turrets serve as her weapons.
Hangers and gun emplacements are shielded behind sliding heavy armor blast doors.


"Concepts" took some time to figure out. Once you get the swing of using the snap tools it's pretty sweet.

Very nice, has anyone found something like this for android by chance?
