Grinders, connectors, and storages

I managed to piece together a modular ship with a merge block, connectors, grinder, and medium storage. Everything is connected and working, lights green as they should be. I can manually move components from the grinder to the first connector, and from there to the connector attached to the ship. It will not move to the storage container it is sitting right next to. I even tried asking nicely...it is not listening. Thoughts?

 

Most common issue is using small conveyors or small conveyor ports. Most components can't pass through those, they're too small.
