I would like to know if there is a way to disable shadows, that would increase my frame rate by a lot.
I would also like to reduce the render quality to Low but i think that's impossible at the moment.

Please help me someone, online servers are just unplayable for me and i can't do anything to increase my frame rate.
There must be a way to disable shadows, maybe some kind of command when launching the game from Steam...

Currently there is no way to disable shadows. Also the game is not optimized well right now. Hopefully they will work on more graphics settings soon. As for now there's a mod that my friend uses that optimizes most blocks so it doesn't kill your computer that much. It works really well, also if you check vertical sync in the options it may bump your fps up a bit(It usually only works for some so if you don't see a performance boost that much you can uncheck it).

That mod works very well, i can now play online without frame rate drops... and collisions don't make me lag anymore.
If i could disable shadows i would be able to play the game at 30fps all the time :)

    Thank you!

If you have an nVidia GPU, you should be able to turn off shadows for the game in the nVidia control panel. Not 100% on this, though, as I haven't personally tested it.

Also, my understanding is that ATI has a similar feature, though I couldn't say for sure as I am massively brand-loyal. :p
