This guide should allow you to setup a Space Engineers server with no issues.
It is optional to have SESE and Essentials but highly recommended.

    1. Make DedicatedServer folder somewhere on C drive NOT in steam directory.

    2. Extract 'DedicatedServer.zip' from Tools folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Tools\DedicatedServer.zip) into the folder you created above. So it looks like this

    3. Run 'SpaceEngineersDedicated.exe' as admin from the DedicatedServer64 Folder shown above.

    4. Setup new instance called 'SESE' or whatever you prefer..

    5. Setup basic stuff in vanilla DS console world name, server name, weld/grind speed etc .

    6. Save and Start, wait for the Server to say 'Running' then click stop and wait for the server to say stopped, and then exit the vanilla console.

    7. Move your SESE files into the Folder you created in step 2(C:\Program Files\Space Engineers DS\), NOT the root, but in the 'DedicatedServer64' folder within the folder you created and extracted files too.

    8. Run SESE as admin from the DedicatedServer64 folder. (i prefer making a shortcut to this launcher inside the root folder)

    9. In the left side, you should have 'common data instance' and below you SHOULD see the 'SESE' instance you created in step 4. Should be similar to the below image if you did it right.

    10. Select that instance, and in the right side ensure that 'World Save Location' has the path to your world (it should be similar to C:\ProgramData\SpaceEngineersDedicated\SESE\Saves\SESE ) or whatever you named your world (IF YOU NAMED IT, if you didn't go back to step 4 again).

    11. If your firewall is enabled, you may need to add the SESE launcher to your firewall for it to show up on the public servers list for others to see.

    12. Additonally you can add Essentials if you downloaded it. Add mod (559202083 for DEV) (whatever it was for stable?) and don't forget to put Essentials in your Mods folder in it's own 'Essentials folder' Example. (C:\ProgramData\SpaceEngineersDedicated\SESE\Mods\Essentials\Essentials.dll)

    13. In addition to Essentials, I recommend midspace-Admin commands (add the id at the end of each to your Server 'mods' list. This is not needed as much now as admin tools was added to Vanilla by the wonderful rexxar (thanks rexxar!). it still contains useful tools, so feel free to use it if you want.
    *DEV is https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=387257948
    *'Stable' is https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=316190120

    14. When everything is setup to your liking in the SESE console, Click start, and you SHOULDN'T have any issues. The SESE command screen will look similar to this log, click 'Spoiler' to show it, it's rather long.

Note: I will update with MORE pictures later to make it even easier if needed.
Feel free to contact me (either here or on the kswh discord: https://discord.gg/eqHrkyg) I'll probably be more likely to reply on discord.
Secondary Note: If you have issues seeing the Server or connecting to it in the server browser, right click task bar, open task manager. Make sure there are no 'spaceengineersdedicated' processes running (may have to run as admin)If there are, this will cause issues loading up your server and means you did not stop the server properly in step 6.

Disclaimer: If you have issues, you may need to port forward 27016 or whatever port you set the DS to run on (you'll have to google how to port forward for your specific router)
