Hello, fellow space engineers. For the past two weeks or so I have been busting my head open creating a script that enables self balancing gravity drives in vanilla space engineers. It is now finished and I would love to hear any suggestions, comments, or even creations anyone may have.

    Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=890464232

    Demonstration & setup:

Gravity drives have always been the most powerful form of propulsion, but they were very unwieldy because they generated massive amounts of torque. A 5x5 gravity drive can be the equivalent of 53 large hydrogen thrusters in each direction. A 7x7 drive will be the equivalent of 613 large hydrogen thrusters. It is recommended to have 3 or more but you can place as many as you like and the script takes over. With this script mitigating most if not all torque, ships can now soar to new heights! (and speeds)

Can this be used with spherical gravity generators?

I saw this a while back and couldn't decide whether to be excited or to succumb to jealous rage, since I've been working on something (kinda) similar. I wouldn't be surprised if this script single handedly results in a grav drive nerf - I only hope that they tone it down without removing them completely. This and your 3 axis clang drive are probably the highest form of bug reporting!

EDIT: I should temper my above statements by telling you that this script is off the chain, job well done my man.

    Hi Jerry !
    Excellent script.
When flying to the moon I noticed the ship slightly changing it's attitude over time (pitching, yawing).
I compared your gravity drive control to mine by placing both ships into the grav field of a planet and watch how good they are keeping their position:

I don't know which method you are using to control the gravity drives but there seems to be room for improvment ;)
