little rocks made during mining...please disable player clipping with them.

    when handmining in both modes....one that creates ore rocks and one that clears voxel faster.
    both methods spawn those little peddles that roll around a bit.

    for some mad reason they can effect the player I've only recently noticed this and reported it twice on the steam forums with nothing said on it at all.

    so allow me dump this report here in the hopes something gets done.
    look i even spent time i should of been sleeping with to make this video.

    those tiny little rocks are unpridictable and can damage the player by violently flinging him in another direction as well as making straight downward mining impossible.
    before you do go why not just build a mining ship? well thats why im mining.....

    Now i could be completely insane saying this but i could of sworn........they noclipped with the player before.....so why enable clipping with them?
    this problem can be fixed by disabling its ability to clip with the player...then i wouldn't mind how many of them spawn.....

    my favorite part of the video is 1:20 where it really does FLING the engineer a great distance

    If you also look at the start of the video you'll see ore rocks are currently sliding..... -_-

    The hud is very nice though....really love the hydrogen remaining in tanks on this grid feature...really really loving that.

    Those evil little things will kill ya too on a planet. Died twice from pebbles to the head.

    If this is what causes me to die while hand mining, then yes. PLEASE remove clipping on these. It's incredibly annoying trying to hand mine for your first mining ship and just be instantly killed for no reason. That said, I was thinking the problem was the ground deforming while standing on it? Perhaps a bit of both I suppose.

    I remember thinking it only happened to some modded skins like this one. :(
    I do love robotic engineer skins....

    I have this old video which was....humorously enough reporting an issue with wheels on planets....it has since been fixed...

    in the video i was able to mine straight down and i wasn't effected by the little rocks of ice I'm hoping they revert it back to that.

    Yes had the same issue. Since the update, I have found that whilst hand mining I will often find myself sliding sideways on top of a small avalanche of pebbles as they roll away. On other occasions, I will be catapulted into the air. On yet others, I end up dead, just as depicted in the OPs vid.

    I hope for a rapid fix to this!

    sorry if i came across angry
    you know when you enjoy something so much but something keeps interrupting the fun?

    if i could suggest a quick-fix for now it would be try to disable them from colliding with the player engineer.
    I believe its because since they roll fast and the engineer can potentially land on them the speed they build up transfers to the engineer.

    so if the rocks no longer collide with the player that should be a least a temp fix.

    We disabled it in latest CTG 1.180, it has only visual consequences like stones flying through astronaut etc, but I hope as well that it is small price for good immersion while drilling.

    Brilliant thank you very much.

    the tiny rocks just need a bit of work on how they react to the player touching them....

    the little rocks reminded me of an issue players had in killing floor 1.
    during the break between waves players could enter a trader room and buy guns....but a single player could block the doorway to that room...preventing players buying better weapons.

    a fix was to disable player to player collision between rounds.
    it wasn't very realistic but it was a very nice way to fix an issue that plagued players.

    when exactly is this to be implemented?
    I hopped on last night loaded up a new star system no mods.
    landed the respawn ship like a proper michael bay movie the large thrusters didn't survive.
    I jumped out the land mined the ground and the little rocks flung me into the respawn ship killing me...............not even 10 minutes into a new game.

    not being a dick here but i'd much rather lose a bit of immersion while drilling rather than being powerfully thrown against walls making hand drilling almost impossible because the little rocks can do that.

    ehh....guess i'll see what happens in the next update. :(
    its exciting enough since wheels are getting a spit shine and i enjoy them for the start game.

    I would also want to add that these rocks block block (haha) placement. For example, if you mine a chunk of terrain with alternate mode of drill, you can't place an armor block on cleared spot until those little rocks disappear.
