Is there a MOD for showing all ORES within a set distance even in the deepest part of an asteroid for testing ?

I just wanted to test if i missed some spot where they are actually there. i have been spending hours and hours and finding nothing it hurts my eye more. i just wanted to test out where they are.

    thanks

Thanks, i was kinda looking for a CHEAT to show the location of ores. platinum ores. just so i can determine how i missed that ore deposit. because i have spent hours hoping over 15 Clusters each consisting of about 3-7 asteroids with no luck in finding the Platinum ores. on my first game i found the ore on my 3rd cluster just sitting on the surface of an asteroid and not deep within.

can you explain how Ore detectors work ? i have my shuttle at a distance, should i bring my shuttle with me when i go around an asteroid looking for ores ?

Ore detectors detect ore within a certain range of itself.
When you first build one, the range is set to half, so you gotta turn it up...

For asteroids, I usually just fly around them in a circle(use cruise control.. Hotkey your reverse thrusters) , super close to the surface.
Each asteroid or close cluster only will contain a max 2 ores.

There are three parameters in the save game files Sandbox.sbc and Sandbox_config.sbc that can be changed to vary the amount of ore generated on procedural asteroids. In earlier versions the way this was done was exposed in the game configuration dialog so it was simple to vary the difficulty level, but Keen decided to obfuscate this because fuck the players being able to choose how the game works, right?

    <DepositsCountCoefficient>2</DepositsCountCoefficient>
    <DepositSizeDenominator>30</DepositSizeDenominator>
    <HarvestRatioMultiplier>2</HarvestRatioMultiplier>

ya thanks, actually really just wanted to know how i missed the ores that were already there. to check how if im scanning it right i wanted to see where exactly is the nearest platinum ore located. not to increase platinum ore generation.
Anyway i gave up the search when 3 enemy npc drone came attacking me out of nowhere and i got tired of searching and so i just couldn't refuse the free Thruster Components ...
