1. Hello Guest!
Welcome to the Bug Report forum, please make sure you search for your problem before posting here. If you post a duplicate (that you post the same issue while other people have already done that before) you will be given a warning point which can eventually lead into account limitations !

Here you can find a guide on how to post a good bug report thread.

I'm trying to build a remote controllable turret on my station, but that's not possible, because the remote control block doesn't let you control the turret from the station, even though the turret is connected to the station through rotors/merge blocks/connectors. You can control a turret which is not connected to the station using antennas, but you can't control a turret which is connected to the station through cables? It doesn't make any sense, that's why i'm assuming that it's just a bug.

That was the first bug (i guess?) report, now, the second one:

The turret is connected to the station through a rotor/merge block/connector, both the turret and the station have an antenna. You still can't control the turret from the control panel of the station, and you can't open the control panel of the turret from the station. Basically, the turret doesn't appear in the list of connected ships, i'm talking about that:

Both the turret and the station have an antenna, but you can't open the control panel of the turret from the station because the turret is connected to the station. The game thinks that the station and the turret are the same thing, but they're not.

I really want to get this bug fixed so i can build turrets on my capital ship and control them from inside the ship.

Csn definitely confirm that ships docked at a station's Connector can't be remote controlled. The 'Control' button for any associated Remote Control is greyed out in the K menu, and remains so even if the ship is udocked through other means. Saving and reloading the game (singleplayer/Private game) resolves it, though thisaspec of the bug also occurs if you try to control a ship while just being an astronaut (i.e. not in a ship or sttion and associated equipment/controls).

    Relates to existing reported bugs.

Entire set of bugs make remote access or control of docked ships impossible. Hence things like Battery powered drones or remotely operated ships that can fetch materials off other ships for transport/building are also impossible.

For example I have a solar ship connected to a new carrier type ship I'm building, via connectors. No longer have remote ability to turn off the gatling guns on the solar ship, as it's just not there to remote into.

    This may be related

I use a large ship to haul my drones around. I like to use landing gear on the large ship to hold the drones in place while moving. However, the moment I lock the drones in place the remote control function no longer works.

Doesn't matter if I try to access remote control from other ships or stations. I have removed and replaced the remote control, both in survival and creative modes, with no change (still won't function). I have also tried releasing the drone then moving my large ship away from it but to no avail. Restarting the world does clear the problem.

If remote control is lost once a drone is connected via port or gear it make the function kind of useless.

This is unfortunate as it is such a fun feature.

Hello there, btw i am italian too :D

And indeed, you need it to be a separete entity (no connector, rotor/piston connecting) You gotta stick to the good old langing gear style.

I work around this problem by adding a button to the drone that I press to make the drone ready for remote control. Its imperfect, but at least I don't have to go through the station.

Unfortunately, locked landing gear has the same issue. I discovered it last night while working on a remote control for one of my ships. If the ship is landed with the station and the landing gear is in locked position, the remote control option was grayed out. I had to manually enter the ship and disengage the landing gear before I could control it remotely. I think this is a bug, since most folks are going to "lock down" their drones and remote ships inside carriers and other vehicles. We need to be able to control it from take-off to landing.
