Any chance of a text version of these tutorials, for those of us who aren't very keen on watching videos?

I agree a text based companion would be a great thing. Perhaps some bright spark of a wonderful person can use screen grabs from your video and type out your words to create a visually impressive text based tutorial for people who can't follow videos (data limit, one screen, noise pollution, regional accent deafness - no opinion on OP's video as I haven't watched them yet).

Yeah, I'm setting up website that'll tie everything together. Just gotta give me time, since it and money are tight.

@haveachillday (just wanted to clarify) I will cover scripting eventually, but it's on the lower end for me, I'll see about enlisting help in the regard, that way we can get some tutorials for it as well.

It's a bit of a stretch don't you think? The video format is already the best method; we can't expect an academy out of someone's spare time project! :D

If people subscribe to my Patreon, it makes it easier. I enjoy doing it, but money *presently* is more important, hence why progress is slow.

Thanks Man. Hey i just got the dds plugin for Photoshop. What do you recommend Photoshop or Gimp for creating the textures?

I've been experiencing issues with GIMP on Windows 10. You have to make sure it actually exports the texture with your changes. Some times it doesn't seem to.

Photoshop seems to be a little more reliably in that regard, but I've had issues with it as well.

Paint.net or Krita might be valid options, but I haven't explored them yet.

I like Photoshop. It's a bit more geared to making textures for sure. I'll have to do a few videos for the different programs and my assessment of them.

If you prefer Photoshop, go with it. You can still do everything. You also get the added benefit of saving it as a BC7 (keep in mind you can't edit a BC7 IIRC, so be careful), which means less artifacting. I stick with exporting as BC3/DXT5 though. Less issues on my end.

Just save a 'master' copy before it gets all compressed.

Three more videos bringing us very close to the conclusion of the first block. Having issues filming in-game for the last bit. Consensus seems to be I require a new video card.

So, in the last 2 days, I've tried recording the last video for the gyroscope and crashes galore, regardless of settings. My GTX550Ti is definitely the bottleneck. If I had a 600, I'd at least have the hardware encoder (first showed up on the 600) that is on that card.

I'll keep trying, but it is kicking my butt and driving me a little insane.

New modding tutorial videos are out. Episode 16, 17, and 18 are out now, 19 will be coming tomorrow.

Changed the format on the OP to be the playlists instead of individual episode listings. Will be easier to keep you guys up to date.

If you have any specific requests, let me know!
