Ship doesn't respond to the first WASD button pressed.
Only start moving after turning ship (gyros).

    Hello,

My ship respond properly to any input. Perhaps send me the blueprint?

testers are going to need a bit more to go on than that. :(

a video would be best or handful of screenshots would be better.

    my thoughts are....
any chance you got a remote control block on board your ship?
or has it merged or somehow turned into a station?
got any programmable blocks running scripts?
and last but almost always the culprit...got any mods on?

best thing to do i guess would be to upload the world to the steam workshop.
then link it here for the testers to test with.

save the game at your ship that is causing the problem.
go to load it but before you do look around the screen area for upload work...or erm....workshop....publish world...

    No, no.
This is really old bug (year or so)... This happens to me usually when I'm with small ship close to something (e.g large grid). After the ship stops, it does not respond to wsad, and is neccesary to use gyro to activate movement.

oh i think i remember having a bug like that when i first bought SE a year or so back.

all the thrusters look like they're turned off and don't respond to controls but when you rotate with a gyroscope they seem to come to life.
it has been a long long time since i seen that one.
any chance your world is that old.
