Okay, so I'm sure just about all of you use notepad++ for SBC editing, huh? Well, rearranging and managing that file in a (albeit awesome) text editor is not much fun. So I made SBCEdit, my node based program. Harag's tool is absolutely great for setting up the model (and even the beginning of the CubeBlocks file). However, some people complain about going through and using a non-graphical tool after using Harag's plugin. It's still in development, but it can only get better!
Also, it will accept XML files, since SBC files are just fancy XML files.

Here's the link to the site, which includes the Windows 32-bit binary as well as a GitHub link for the source code. Enjoy!

P.S. As mentioned on the site, if you find bugs that are not on the 'Known bugs' area I beg you, please, report them.
    Thank you!

Oooh that's clever! Having learnt Substance Designer the last few months my brain now works in nodes!

Will test and let you know any feedback :)

Looks like something I was waiting for ^^ But can you offer an example ? I really have no Idea how such an SBC file has to be structurized in any way, and even less in a node editor.

And yes, node editors rock ! I even got yor .blend file for the textures, I am going to combine that in one personal blend file with Harags tool and then I may be finally able to modd something !

Hm, this is one of my smaller CubeBlocks.sbc files:

This definitely needs better layout. Or less nodes. Or a way to filter out stuff. Or a way to quickly navigate from block to block. Or all of those things.
I'm not not yet faster than editing .sbc files with a simple text-editor ;)

Otherwise it's an interesting idea :)

Thanks, Harag! I love your plugin btw, makes it very easy on beginners and has nice tools for advanced users. I'll keep updating it now that some people are noticeably using it now. I was thinking of making the very primitive algorithm I use to organize the nodes when you open the file a bit more usable. So when you open the file it isn't just vertical and uncompressed, it would be spread out in a tree. Also, I'm going to add a checkbox on the output of each node so you can tell it not to render anything else along the chain. Oh, and, the post-processing (blur) and splines (curvy but performance decreasing lines) can both be turned off, Harag, so that will help to clean it up a little. Thank all of you for at least some interest in my program, I will begin working on changes now!
